Hi - I am currently on permafrost and have an 80 swashy. I am in a small, non-raiding family type guild which has roots back to eq1 where we did raid at leading edge until end of OOW expansion.

While I havent raided recently in eq2 I am wanting to start again, but as I am now working normal hours and based in London oportunities are limited on my current server.

If I was to move I would naturally expect to do trials and get known a bit before getting invite, so I am mainly wondering how the general community is at level 80 fo rnon or small guild players.

There's a lot of decent/half decent guilds on SP and RE. My advice would be to put a post in the game-wide recruitment section. Be honest about what you're willing to put in and what you're expecting to get out.

Yeah, but keep in mind this server got loads of downtime and pretty crappy support from SoE.

Yup, i think you'll be surprised of the lvl of high end guilds on the eurosever. The guilds are more concentrated where on the US servers the hc guilds are more spread out to avoid competition from eachother.

Just to give you an example there are 3 guilds that cleared VP already for quite a while.

What you have on splitpaw is:

1) Fable: only true hc guild, expect high playingtimes and well eq2 comes before everything else here

2) Validus: semi-hc with 75% attendancerequirement and 5 to 7 raidingdays a week. In general they stick to normal playinghoures but on an exception they will try to go for an avatar

3) Unity: semi-hc like validus but with a bit lower attendancerequirement (60%) and 5 raids a week.

These three guilds have been the top3 guilds for a very long time now and they are the three guilds that already cleared VP.

4) Nastrand: guild of former hc raiders that didn't want the high playingtimes anymore but they still can be seen as semi-hc. They finished VP as good as.

5) The vision: new semi-hc building up a force from 0. Think they are still in T1 or T2 but i expect them to grow.

You have a lot of decent family raiding guilds too like Holy Grail, Amenta, Dark Haven, United Kingdoms and many more. I think for the moment only Holy Grail is in T3. And the rest is in T1 or T2

Us, Knights of the White Sheild are T2, we raid 2-4 times a week, were not HC but we do well at things.

But What Aerofae said is true, SoE seem to hate Splitpaw, with the GU other week everything else was up..SoE just "forgot" Splitpaw, so we were down longer than most. But were a lovely server....we always get on well /glares at Zoodia.......and we even have our resident clown called Rawrdog....watch out for him...hes...erm..."ace"

Thought I'd plug Amenta even though we are closed at the moment;

We are a guild that raids 4 times a week. Minimum 70% attendence most are at 90% plus though. Nice bunch of folks dedicated to raiding during set hours. Really coming into our own as a raiding guild plenty of time left before the new expansion

Apart from Splitpaw being the EU version of AB when I was back there with being the first server down and last one up, it's a great server.
What I found when I transfered here a year ago was most of all an over all high quality of the players.
One of the first things I did after transfer was joining a few pick up raids, some with better result than what my previous guild could come up with. :D
The guild side I'm not that familiar with from own experience since I joined Validus shortly after transfer and also was the reason to my transfer, but I'd still say that there is a guild for every type of player out there. Question is if they would recruit you? :D
