Our Ventrilo is dead most of the time and we just use /gu and /r for commands and to discuss the encounter. Even on those occasions we actually use the Ventrilo only a handful of people actually speaks, ever.

Ventrilo can be awesome if everyone can speak more or less fluent and understands spoken english. Else it's just more reliable to type.

I think everyone that's ever heard me on TS or Vent will agree with you! ;)

And I'm with the music listening crowd, though VoIP can be fun/usefull too.

We have everyone on vent during raids most of the stuff is done there, but strats are said on vent and typed out as well just to be sure, but mostly it's vent.

We've started to use Vent alot more and I have to agree on mobs you've done over and over there isnt any point except to discuss porn more quickly! However I think its become a raid saver on the (many many :P) mobs we have to clear. We are using a dual system of Vent for the general "input" and feedback though our group leaders from group member and typing in main raid insturctions in /r.

I just wanted to thank everyone for giving feedback so fast and being so open.

Suppose I need to swear atleast once this is eq2flames after all! So Fucking hell thanks all!

I used to RL only via chat in old days of kos and start of EoF, my typing skills were so leet lol. But I would agree that for a mixed guild of euro players the best way is to use both vent/ts and chat. In US guilds it is a whole different story (or itnernational servers, like French/german ones etc).
