Holy hell it sure is.

Now, everything is said on our vent, and everything important is echoed in chat, apart from Dex's stanneet commands of course, but heck... Noone cares about them anyway. ;) So it's more of a carebare factor really. Always fun to hear people than just to see some random text pop up from them once in a while. :P

But in one way I miss the days back when I joined Validus and everything was handled in chat. Less missunderstandings going around, but it's those that create the fun situations that makes it possible to endure the boring raids anyway. :D

That and the banter in group, guild and on vent ofcorse... some of the conversations we come up with just blows my mind... that's what keeps me comming back for more most of the time. Well that, 'phat lewt' and ofcorse the fun of beating new encounters!

On-topic, speech is much faster than text, and alot more can be conveyed in a shorter period of time, which becomes more and more essential as the complexity of fights increases. When I first joined my first raiding guilds I was very much against voice chat, joined but didn't speak, thought it was unnecessary but willing to put up with it because others liked it.. now, well I've realized it's pretty much essential to making things run smoothly, if used correctly it's an indispensable tool.
