If you're looking for an MMO, wait a couple of months for Aion - it's gonna pwn. Until then, if you want to get into the mood for the Asian theme of Aion, download Perfect World. It's free and quite nice.

Sadly it costs nothing to play and is 100 times more stable than EQ2.

They don't plan to add any mounts to the game. Cause well... you have wings?

Wikipedia says there's horse races and everything, and several players can even share a mount! I could start a taxi service.

I'm still loading the official english site, it's sloooooooooooooooooow.

A game without mounts can't possibly rock. Simple fact.

Yes there's bloody loads of mounts. And you can also have wings hehe.

Flying Carpets? check
Flying Sword you surf? check
Raptors? check
Bambi? check!
2 people riding 1 mount? YES.

Only problem is the grind. Once you get to mid 30's you start running out of quests before you hit next level. Can be a bugger to grind out the rest of your level.

Also the boss encounters are insanely hard at high 30's, early 40's. And there's 100+ levels.

But it IS free. Quality-wise, in terms of graphics I'd put it about half way between EQ1 and EQ2. Gameplay wise it's simplified compared to EQ2. But not too much. There's a good variety of skills for each class and healing is probably the hardest to play well (like all good MMO's).

I'm absolutely going to have to check Perfect World out when that "spare time" pops up again
