You really don't read and comprehend what other people write, do you? Aerin admitted some mistakes in his previous post and took accountability for them as leader.

That gets my respect, but then, I apparently don't know what respect is......lol.

You think I want to cause drama? I don't. But it pisses me off to see SoD coming here trying to get members after what you did in the past. People should at least know what happened even if it's just my ignorant, one-sided point of view.
I stated my case and I think Kara and some others did, too. People will decide who has more credibility.

I actually think Aerin did an okish job at explaining himself. You on the other hand are an endless source of entertainment.

My very personal opinion on SoD, Fidelis, the members of each and all that left (as i did) aside: Saying a discussion is getting boring for the other side won't admit mistakes... well... discussing with someone else doesn't automatically mean you are right no? Neither does the fact that Aerin posted a reply to a post on a flame board (oh noes!) make your replies any more valid... It might have been that you *could* possibly misunderstand what he wrote as a slight slant towards Fidelis. Well. As you stated so vocally: this is a flame board no?

It is really funny how you obviously know exaclty who is responsible for everything that happend in SoD over the last few months. And yes - i got a really good idea who it would be you got all your info from... Let's just say that decent person or not, on every raid or not or even moderating drama and being all cozy all the time or not: Raiding does mean you should be able to play your class aswell - and if the leader of a guild decides that some people need an external motivation to get their head out of their ass and learn to play their class - well - then thats inherently not a bad idea. That it - however - was possibly badly executed and lead ad absurdum by some of the members... that's a whole different topic...

Ofc it doesn't. The discussion just bored me cause it wasn't going anywhere. And well... ingame drama gets old fast once it's out.

That's the point. The execution sucked and showed lack of consideration and respect. That's what I wrote in the first place, though.

The ideas themselves were prolly decent and quite a few of those that left supported some of it (GP for example was "class leader", wasn't he?).

I am not an officer of SoD. I came on here to defend our guild leader from a vicious personal attack from an ex-member of SoD who has a piecemeal and warped view of the events in guild at best.

I think Aerin has accounted himself very well, and emerges from this with even more credibility in my eyes.

What mistakes do you want me to admit? Name examples of what I have done and I will admit or defend them. Of course I've made mistakes, we all have.

Or am I just guilty of being a member of SoD and trying to defend our guild?

15-20 people who left SoD had a warped view of events in guild, right? People who've been in SoD (some as officers) for way longer than you have. Oh, come the fuck on. You're even more stubborn than me.

That he was indeed. And when he told me what they plan for SoD i said that it sounds good and might get the job done. The reason i posted here however is that you (or maybe i am mistaken there - if so - kudos!) seem to blame most of the things that went wrong afterwards on Aerin. You might or might not have a bone to pick with him - and hell i could care less. But what you should probably take into consideration is that from what i heard he was caught between a rock and a hard place as they say... from different sources it came to my knowledge that there was blackmailing going on (group A of members saying that if one of the group doesnt get assigned to a specific job the whole group will not raid anymore and bla bla). If that happened to me as guildleader/officer (and as a matter of fact things not quite like that but equally annoying did happen when i was officer back on Lucan) i would kick the bastards out of the guild faster then they can type 'wtf'... but... not everyone is like that... I tend to believe that Aerin had high hopes he could run a friendly 'casual' (oh how much i hate this word!) guild that does raid successfully.... and i do believe what he did, he did with good intentions.

As a disclaimer however: I do NOT think that the situation above was handled right and i know for a fact quite some members were really hurt by how they were treated. That is something that should be stated and something that validates flaming the tards responsible for it - i just don't think its fair to blame it on Aerin... I will however not name who i think is in fact responsible for... frankly... i don't care enough to read through a series of useless 'but i have done NOTHING!!!' posts - destroys all the nice flames somewhat ;)
