Your Guilds
So i was sat bored and ill this morning and i was thinking about guilds which i had the most fun in and things so i figured i would ask everyone out of all the guilds they had been in which they liked best for certain aspects.
Will start with mine :P
Guild i had the most fun in: Vanguard and Validus
Guild i enjoyed raiding with: Defiant (RE)
Guild i learnt about myself more in: Validus and Fable
Guild i wish i never left or left differently: Non i left for reasons that made sense at the time. Only thing i miss is having as much fun as i did in certain guilds.
Guild you got most satisfaction from: Validus, getting my first ever server first in MMIS nothing beats how good that felt. Defiant, server first on Below (t7)

Re: Your Guilds
Guild i have been in: Spirit of Dawnsong, Synergy, Unity, Validus (started with eq2 in 2005 and was 2 years in SOD, after that i went to Synergy but didn't really stay there for a long time, then iwent to Unity for one year and at the beginning of this year i went to Validus)
Guild i had the most fun in: Validus and Spirit of Dawnsong. 2 Guilds with great people and plenty of room to goof around
Guild i enjoyed raiding with: Unity and Validus. Going from casual raiding to hardcore raiding is such an eyeopener. An experience i'd like to share with a lot of people, cause it's such a huge difference and hard to imagine when you come from casual raiding.
Guild i learnt about myself more in: Unity (my first hardcore guild, played my chanter and my zerk there), but i still develop as a player in Validus.
Guild i wish i never left or left differently: All moves made sense at the time and still do. I don't regret any of my choices and well in general i left those guilds on a friendly base.
Guild you got most satisfaction from: Validus, raiding with a bunch of people that are with the best in the game and a top atmosphere combined with that is something rare you have to treasure. And not to forget all the serverfirsting in T8
Most dramafree guild: Unity

Re: Your Guilds
Guild i have been in: Torrent Knights (LDL) Validus
Guild i had the most fun in: Validus edges a little on TK tho we definitely had great times there.
Guild i enjoyed raiding with: Same as above, loved my time in TK but Validus was on a different level, dedicated efficient players.
Guild i learnt about myself more in: Validus, I have learned a lot about dedication and perseverance in Validus, probably more so in the last couple months on my Paladin.
Guild i wish i never left or left differently: TK for sure, I left there to play VG and you don't need an explanation on how that went...
Guild you got most satisfaction from: Validus again edges on this one, from where we were this time last year to where we are now, makes me want to touch my.....
That being said some of our guild first kills back in TK were awesome, even more so because they were all at like 4am in the morning..
Most dramafree guild: What is dramafree?

Re: Your Guilds
My list and reasons will look very much like Zormik's.
Guild i had the most fun in:
Validus, by far cause it's just the most fun atmosphere and the best raiding you can imagine. I liked the atmosphere in Evolution, and i liked the raiding in Unity. But to me Validus is more fun than Evo and more skilled than Unity. Validus is by far the most tight-knit eq2 community (dare i say "Family"?) I've been a part of.
Guild i enjoyed raiding with:
Validus.
The current Validus has an immense amount of very skilled players. Usually guilds have a few players that shine and a bunch of mediocre players but right now Validus is in the lucky position to have quality players for all classes. It's fun to be part of a guild that works so well and manages to fool around on raids every night.
Fun + Skill = Win.
Guild i learnt about myself more in:
Unity. When I first came to Unity I was overwhelmed by the pace of "hardcore" raiding. It's so much more focused than casual raiding I couldn't even believe it. And just like Zorm I'd love to take some people on a Validus raid for them to see what it's like.
Also I'm a much better Brigand than I was a Dirge so I guess Validus made me improve, too.
Guild i wish i never left or left differently:
Well, obviously I'm glad I left all those others guilds cause that made me end up where I am now. But I do regret the way I left Dark Haven. Neither Dark Haven nor me deserved that drama.
Apart from that I'm still friends with many people that are in guilds I left.
Guild you got most satisfaction from:
Can I just quote Zormik?
"Validus, raiding with a bunch of people that are with the best in the game and a top atmosphere combined with that is something rare you have to treasure. And not to forget all the serverfirsting in T8 "
Couldn't have said it better.
Most dramafree guild: Unity
Guild that had way too much drama: Spirit of Dawnsong
Guild I'm fucking glad I left.
Synergy. God, I didn't fit in there at all. No offense, guys.

Re: Your Guilds
Started off in some guild I cant remember the name of. It disbanded so I joined Knights who say Ni. They since merged with Phoenix Knights to make Holy Grail. Loved every minute.

Re: Your Guilds
Guild i had the most fun in:
Fable. Nearly 2 years so they must've done something right. Too bad the guild went down the shitter quickly after I left and all that currently remains is pretty much.. nothing.
Guild i enjoyed raiding with:
Fable. First matron kill, although well overdue. Well worth having no life for.
Guild i learnt about myself more in:
Fable. Quite easy when you've only been in one really.
Guild i wish i never left or left differently:
None.
Most dramafree guild:
That would have to be Phoenix and Baeverbankarna. The two pimpest guilds (by far) on Splitpaw.
Guild that had way too much drama:
Fable, although a good amount of drama every now and then can be quite enjoyable.
Guild I'm fucking glad I left.
Fable. Wouldn't want to spend a second of my time in there right now. I feel sorry for the two or three good people still in there.

Re: Your Guilds
Guild i had the most fun in: Cult of the Dragon and Knights of the White Shield (and i was like 2 days in Truewatch)
Guild i enjoyed raiding with: KotWS - Only as CotD don't raid
Guild i learnt about myself more in: KotWS - I leveld 1 - 70 in CotD, and i learnt that i can be a good "leader" as i was made co guild leader..but KOTWS i learnt more about my class and more about what i can do in the game
Guild i wish i never left or left differently: None - CoTD is a lovely guild, a small and friendly family guild..joined there 2 days after i joined the game, very helpful, when someone new to the game joines they used to do a guild city tour showed you things like the 4 faction buildings and what to hand in, taught your about writs/crafting and stuff...when 70 was the max level, it was my decision to leave for a guild that did end game stuff and to experiance more of the game.
Guild you got most satisfaction from: hum...well in CotD i made some very very good friend, who left for KotWS, inturn i joined them..but KotWS as i met my current boyfriend Cerberushell :D
Guild with most drama: CotD don't really have drama, i do remember when ppl were leaving for other guilds the guild was dying, and we did have some twats in there..KotWS don't really have drama drama, just the usual stuff most guilds go though

Re: Your Guilds
Hmm, and mine will look alot like Layra's.. fancy that!
Guild I have been in:
Omen (LDL), Dark Prophecy (LDL), Rapture (LDL), Torrent Knights (LDL), Fallout (Splitpaw), Validus (Splitpaw)
Guild I had the most fun in:
Validus wins here if only for longevity and consistent progression - TK was a great guild in it's own right (it was pretty unique as a successful semi-hardcore guild on the RP server which is known for having no decent raiding going on at all - I'd liken it quite a bit to Holy Grail, which I also respect a great deal)
Guild I enjoyed raiding with:
Validus by far, TK had loads of drama :P And I like raiding, not drama. And I would have said before I joined that it was impossible to have a fun and friendly atmosphere in a hardcore raiding guild - in fact, for a long time before I joined Validus I had my eyes on Xanadu, and really wanted to join them / see if I could make it there because of all the guilds that were reasonably successful they seemed to be one that actually had a "community" and on their homepage updates etc it always seemed like they got along well and had fun, as well as playing well together. They never opened spots that would have accomodated both me and Calypsia though, so it wasn't to be!
Guild I learnt about myself more in:
Validus! Starting to sound like a broken record here, but honestly I've been here 10 months now and I attribute most of the skill I might have picked up along the way I mostly attribute to the quality of the players I've been fortunate enough to be surrounded with.
Guild I wish I never left or left differently:
Torrent Knights. Basically we were actually on a high accomplishment wise (even though it was a buggy time in the game with a bunch of bugged scripts, laggy charm on Mayong & Gardener, Rumbler being broken etc..) and when Vanguard was announced a couple of us, myself being one of the guilty ones, got all moony-eyed about the promise of "The Vision"!! and basically tore a decent guild apart by abandoning EQ2 altogether and dragging as many people as we could over to Vanguard.. needless to say it was a monumental flop and when AoC released just recently I was more than a bit jaded and skeptical about it's long term appeal - after all, Vanguard looked "promising", too.
Guild you got most satisfaction from:
Validus by FAR, I've never seen a guild come so far, evolve so much in terms of every individual's skill and skill as a raid force, and accomplish so much.
Most dramafree guild:
I have never been in a guild that didn't have SOME drama, but Validus doesn't have a great deal compared to most casual or semi-hardcore guilds I have been in which all had a ton of drama all the time.
