Well I think all of us that are left after five years of SOE’s attempts to pee everyone off know that the game is not in the best of health and most guilds struggle to find the players they want to make up there raid force. It’s not rocket science (There u go Hux) we have too many raiding guilds competing for not enough players.

Maybe its time to put aside the egos and bravado and seriously consider pulling some guilds together to make better raid teams than we could pull together separately.

I appreciate that many will find this suggestion totally abhorrent as they hate too many people and have fallen out with so many that were obviously wrong and could never work with that freaking noob ( Insert Toon of choice).

This could be in the form of an extension of raiding alliances or perhaps if the officers of guilds can swallow their pride and park egos guilds could merge.

I know this is going to get flamed to death but its stating the obvious many guilds have talked about this and we are all facing the same issues with a smaller player base.

The problem is finding some key classes, like bards and chanters usually. Not sure how many active ones there are on Splitpaw but somehow there always seams to be loads LFG in channels for heroic stuff. Maybe most are alts.

Merging is nice but sometimes you get the quantity over quality problem. Not saying it won't work but I think it will be the same problems except you will have have 6 wizards and 2 chanters instead of 2 wiz and 1 chanter.

That's just my experience of raiding on Splitpaw. We need more bards!

I have a troub alt that I sometimes like to play outside raids but I doubt I'd enjoy raiding with it being as I already tried that. Maybe some alt raids or so, but not fulltime.

There should be enough chanters though. I guess you could even count the ones that are still using their group buffs (resists and stats) lol!

Or the ones who run pet in group even tho they don't have mythical and when you ask for buffs they say, "sorry no room".

Again you get the quantity over quality issue...

dont see the point of discussing this here really.. its depending on each guild's situation and if they are even able to put raids up or not and even if they cant if they wanna wait and keep trying who cares? if their members wanna stay they will if not they'll leave

I guess it depends on the guilds that are murging. I know there are alot of alliances' and stuff. But lets say our two guilds murge..thre would always be ppl that would be left out...or 2 raid forces...now if there are two..there would always be one "stronger" than the other,

people would clash, strats/dkp spendage/ who would be promoted to officer, it all depends on the guild i supose...i mean Kotws couln't murge with Validus (doubt they would want to)..you would have to be of the same "calibur" to do this for it to work...but you never know untill you try

As for this thread though, wtf is the point? None of this stuff would ever work with conflicts in needed classes, dkp/looting, leadership/officership etc, join/leave rules, recruitment, personal grudges, guild specific events or unwritten rules, ETC ETC ETC.

If you're a shitty guild that can't raid because you lack too many classes, just frickin DIE. Let your members fill up the spots in the other guild's rosters and get it over with.

Problem solved.
