    A month or two into FG--how goes it? Glancing at eq2 discord every now and then---seems like the usual--devs don't give a shit and trying to get things fixed after the fact.

    Basically we give the devs feedback on why shit is terrible, and they refuse to acknowledge it for weeks and then drop in saying they made a change which actually did something. However they didn't actually fix the glaring issues of the mob(s) at hand, they just kinda gave it a quick hotfix to show that they are changing something. For example Darathar at the moment hits for around 260% of our tanks HP every single auto attack and averages between 3 second delays, it's not hard to see how this shit is terrible.

    Combined with the fact that they included channelers on TLE which is the stupidest fucking decision in the world, because the class basically reduces incoming damage by 35% because the pet intercepts that much and its not hard to keep the pet up, unless the mob is grossly overtuned it's kinda hard to make any other healer useful in this content.

    DPS actually isn't that bad at the moment, they nerfed a few classes based on a shitty thrown together pug raid on beta? For example assassin spells based on stormhold vs now are about 15% lower on quite a few abilites (death mark, assassinate, masked strike) i'm not sure about other classes but i compared tooltips and assassin's recieved a nerf. I'm assuming the reasoning is because the assassin on beta was doing like 1400 damage on a quick burn fight yet i'm doing 2k post nerf in one minute fights.

    Itemization is shit for the most part, they itemized a lot of ability mod but didn't really think about the fact that some classes cap really easily on ability mod, but some don't so quite a few classes just don't really get upgrades outside of sta unless they get the raid gear that only drop off of the basically unkillable mobs. And of course scouts are just at a pure disadvantage because they didn't really factor in us not having auto attack damage because they didn't itemize any auto attack stats yet didn't buff any abilities (see ability mod cap).

    I really think that not much will change, Fyreflyte actually has been changing a lot of itemization though which is really nice. For example if you send him a list of items that don't really have the proper rating, swing speed, etc. He will typically respond and fix what the issues are. He hasn't once so far not responded to any pm's on discord, he told me that sometimes they don't let him due to deadlines they give him on certain changes, plus he is fixing eq1 at the same time I believe.

    As far as comparing it to stormhold I would say that I really see the same issues, AA's not being fixed making certain classes useless, itemization, and mobs being overtuned to gate progression.

    I really think maybe Holly tells them to only respond when they actually can work on the fixes, for example at the moment they are in full expansion mode for live, so they can't really sit down and change a lot of shit on TLE raid mobs because they have to work on the expansion. I'm assuming this kind of logic is intended to deliver as opposed to promise? I'm not sure, even just a simple, yes we know it's a problem and we will look at it later is fine. Some form of communication at all is all we ask for.

    For example I asked gninja for the addition of training dummies to the game prior to guild halls, and he told me that he can't change a guild hall amenity to a housing item without gross amount of recoding, so I told the guy look; if you're not gonna give us something simple as a fucking training dummy at least tells us if mobs have things like combat mitigation, and if the mitigation formula still follows the 75*level formula, and he responded saying "you will just have to figure out like people had to back then" and I responded, that back then we had communication and actual formulas from devs, similar to what i'm asking you for now.

    This is the exact same as it was on Stormhold.

    I posted this graph in EoF showing how hard the higher end mobs hit.



    Tier 1 was like Chel'Drak (lol first pulled and got Mythical) and T5 was NTT Mayong and Hurricanus (2nd hardest fight in EoF...as a KoS raid) and 3 Princes (unkillable... in KoS...and EoF.. because it auto attacked for double my HP even an expansion later).


    Here's another example of where we would just hit a roadblock out of nowhere with auto attack damage...



    Caith is bad at math, but he's no so terrible as to explain just how broken raid mobs were. The real reason is because they did do the math. The math that says people will subscribe longer in the hopes that broken mobs get fixed than having easy/reasonable mobs that get cleared before the next expansion unlock.

    It worked. We stayed subscribed the entire KoS expansion while pulling 3 Princes and Hurricanus that would get "nerfed" from doing 4x to 3x to 2x our max HP+wards every month. In RoK, when we cleared everything in 2 weeks, we peaced out until TSO.

    They really know what they are doing, but so far more people in Axiom have quit due to mobs being unkillable than us steamrolling the content.
