with all this new gear often with + stats.. which do you tend to go for.

da.. or crits?? for example there is a collection quest belt give 2 double attack, but the T8 mastercrafted give 2 crits.. which woudl you go with?

lastly the million dollar question of how much dps (assuming your under 100) is worth 1 crit?

The only difference between a swash and an assassin in this case is combat art damage, which is obviously a little lower on our end. Personally I still look for crit gear over doubleattack, but I try to stack up as much of both as I can

Anyone been playing with all the +CA gear? Theres a lot of it out there. I think I'm going to stockpile it all, swap it all on at once and see if I notice a diff in dps. What kinda cap is there to the +CA gear anyways?

No way, for us Double attack > > > Crits, unless you're using wis line and already have over 100 DA...

You'll get much more benefit out of DA than you will out of crits. Swash autoattack should be anywhere from 40-55% of your ZW dps, with ca's anywhere from 25-40, and the rest made up of procs, depending on your group makeup.

Our CA's are overall very weak damage that are comparable to our weaponhits, if not worse in many cases.

For assassins, crit makes sense, because they gain 30% damage on huge hits... for us, not so much.

Not to say crits aren't good, but double attack is definitely better.

My guess would be similar to the current reduced +spell cast... 1/2 of the ca's damage.

Since Swash CAs are not anywhere as high damage as Assassin ones, I don't believe we see quite as much of a benefit with crits as they do. I think that 2 % double attack increases swash dps more than 2 % crits.

Having said that, I am shooting for a balance of the two, as I am usually spoiled with having Illus IA. There is nothing better than crit double attacking on your main and offhand... It would be nice if something similiar to the Robe of Battle drops off tier 8 Avatars in a few months here. Or if not, it would be cool to see 100 % double attack proc instead. That way you could focus more on the other 1/2 in your gear.
