Default Anaphylaxis vs Carotidcutter

I have seen people debating about which is better for a WIS spec swashy and was wondering if anyone has both and has done some parses too see which comes out on top? I got Ana last night but havnt had any luck on carotid yet.

I guess on a related note anyone tested the Nathsar Shortsword yet to see how that works as well? There seems to be a bit of confusion regarding RoK weapons so hopefully some of you who happen to own a few can shed some light on it. I have seen multiple opinions in some of the other threads but hoping we can get some facts.

Yes, a brigand in my guild has both and parses higher using them over his soulfire. It is not a huge increase but considering that both are alot easier to get its kind of a no brainer what you should be going for.

Anaphylaxis vs Carotidcutter vs Nathsar Shortsword for a WIS/STR/AGI swashy is the real question. The 6.0 delay and high top end on Nathsar makes it *appear* very sexy. Ana is 4.5 but I am not a big fan of DoT procs. The Carotidcutter is in the running because of the +5 to double attack.... not super imporant for a WIS swashy because getting to 100% DA is not hard.

If I had to guess I would say the Nathsar parses the highest but I am not sure. Need to hear from a swashy who has/uses it.

That's in a different league, Advern :p The other three are attainable in group content ;) (Unless that is from group content, in which case I want to know where... and now! :o )

I'm currently using Carotid, but DW with GDoH... Been trying to get the other two so I can do some tests, but no luck yet ><

Nathsar and the post-nerf Anaphylaxis with the WIS line are both disappointing.

Depending on what other 4.0 dual wield you can get your hands on, I would stick with the Carotidcutter and another weapon. The 5% doubleattack will do you more good with two weapons, even if one of them is the gdoh, then it will do you with the WIS spec.

At the end of the day, just be glad your lucky enough to get a Carotidcutter That piece of shit never drops when I do crypt lol

Well this really isnt a debate about what dw setup is better heh. Some swashies just prefer WIS spec regardless of DPS (I rarely lose on the parse anyway) and the Carotidcutter is a nice WIS wep but not the best available. I have now got a Nathsar and this fucker is a monster.

I parse similar using Anaphylaxis but... I dislike DoT effects so I have bagged it. 100% DA + Zek 100% crit miracle + Nathsar = insanity. Try it, its fun.

I would have to personaly say that the Nathsar Short Sword is a hunk of crap for a swash. Six second delay/ and a threat increase is not good. I use the anaphalaxis and Carotidcutter. However i have my AA's specced for either DW or Fencer.. I parse decent 2.5K 3K Grp DW and the same with fencer. for DW if i have a dirge and Illusionist in grp. Fencer i use for most any other grps.. DA + Haste on Fencer is nuts with a Carotidcutter but with IA and Rapidity from Illy and Dirge buffs Duel wielding is crazy soo.. For me it depends on setup of grp.
