Nominate Swashbuckler Class Leader Replacement

I have decided to continue playing the game, but not as my swashbuckler.

I think the class is pretty retarded, and the thought of playing it another year pains me.

Nominations end Sunday night and I will post a poll.

Well for me there are only 3 classes

Tank class - Did it and retired it.

DPS class - doing it now

Healing class - Tried it but not for me.

Others may think subclass means something but for me this is all I go by.

Now back to the issue at hand. Who do we nominate for Swashbuckler Leader for this thread. Let me know when we can vote.

No one really knows me here but I nominate myself (Hakujin) ;p

Played the swash for over a year now. With my guild Cataclysm on Permafrost I've cleared all non-contested EoF while in EoF. In RoK, we are working on T2's Venril and Overking now (in the sub 50% range on both, just need the right raid balance - our strats work). I group a decent amount and box/duo/solo a decent amount so I get those aspects of play as well as raiding.

I'm solid at compiling and presenting data, and I know the Swash class pretty darn well.

I tossed up Legends Explorer for the LoN card game when it was released.

18 months ago I created and still update EQ1's Progression Server Big Kill Board at The Combine - Big Kill Board

Basically I think I would be able to contribute to this forum and the Swash class in general. The first things I would do would be to update the Swash Loot Thread and sticky a Swash Skills Used at 80 A3/M1-type checklist. I'd love to be in a position to gather feedback on Sleight of Hand from you guys and hopefully discuss it with someone from SOE.

Within the context of the game, swashbucklers have changed drastically. If you think swashbucklers are any where near as important as they were 6 months ago, you are wrong. Well, I guess they were never "important", but the fun of playing them is reduced on scripted/single encounters I think. Swashbuckler is a very basic, easy class, which worked well on tank/burn zones like we saw in tier 6/7. Now what makes a difference between winning and losing can't be answered in DPS numbers as much as it used to.

I'm leveling a Templar at the moment.

I am glad some of you still enjoy the class, kudos to you.

But, realistically, when you play a single class as much as I have (I would be surprised if any of you had more /played time) it's bound to get stale. Time for a change

also as an afterthought - don't pay attention to the douchebags imo. You were a good class leader. Good luck with your new class, hope you enjoy it

Also, you should try brig. Brigs are fun too :p

I'm nominating runaf since I've known him longer than any other swashbuckler and I think he would work hard at improving this section based on his posting history
