If it were only that simple.

First and foremost, to clear things up, at no time did I say that my methods were the best, nor did I state that they would work well for a swashbuckler. I stated that previously posted information was incorrect.

On to why I do what I do? My job is twofold. I need to stay alive, and I need to hold agro. Along with that comes positioning, curing, and using abilities to block massive amounts of damage. On any given pull, if I don't fire things exactly right, with good timing, I risk losing the mob to the raid and killing people from the start. In that instance, I control my CA's manually. Once the initial hits are in, I start worrying about positioning and watching my incoming damage. If I see spikes or whatnot I start putting on layers of uber, if not I start into a manual CA sequence in which I time my autoattacks for maximum damage. The one-button hotkey helps immensly when I'm taking a lot of damage, it lets me focus on my hitpoints instead of what button to whack next. During positioning it lets me move and still be generating agro without stopping, or having to think about anyting BUT positioning.

Basically, it lets me be lazy when I want to. Depending on the zone, with the hotkey only I can hit 3500ish dps, where manually I can hit 3700. To me, that difference is mostly negligble in most situations. On top of that, it allows my wife and others to play me for instances without knowing a damn thing about guardians.

Another easy macro

/Assist MT
/Usea Eye Point
/Usea Guile (or whatever it is called T8)

Mob gets hit from the front for the parry debuff, and then from behind for the Mit debuff. Assuming you know how to time them on incoming.
