Default Haste vs DA vs Crit

So due to the lack of instances in ROK (they can all be cleared in 5 hours or less depending on group) I have a lot of downtime on off raid nights. And I toy with things like this and was wanting some general feedback, thoughts, feelings, suggestions...

+CA damage is worthless from what i've seen heard... bah with it.

Melee crit mods are nice for those big hits.

DA is always a nice thing for our autoattack granted you know your timing...

But I'm a haste whore... Wondering if my theory on having as much haste as I can and also keeping it within the multiples of 0.8 (sailwind and that being the delay between CA and auto attack) over melee crit will give more damage.

Anyone else going haste or is melee crit really the way to go for getting that higher % of damage on the ZW parses.

Thanks ahead of time.

maxing your haste is a giant waste of time. crits are the most important imo, get a good balance of +DA and +CA damage too

Swashies by default can get 130ish haste constantly in battle, and can spike to 200 w/ all short buffs up, this is all w/ items + master haste proc. So I mean yea...as a swash you should never worry about haste...ever lol.

Easy question really. Whats better...
1) 100% DA + 50% Haste
2) 50% DA + 100% Haste

The answer is #2. 100% haste is equal to 100% DA BUT you can't double attack on a second swing of DA but you can DA on every hasted swing.

Haste > All until deminished returns.

If you have 100% DA and 50% Haste with a 50-400/4.0 weapon, you will do 168.75 DPS.

If you have 50% DA and 100% Haste with a 50-400/4.0 weapon, you will do 168.75 DPS. Good news, that means they're equal. Of course, the only thing that makes #2 better, is the fact that with haste you will proc more times in a minute because you are swinging more times.

Overall tho, considering a Swash has a self-haste proc buff, you're better off having option #1.

Default Re: Haste vs DA vs Crit

I personally sit at 33% (30pts) of haste, and that's on the low end, after a single proc, that puts me at about 70~80%ish (100ish pts)haste, no group buffs, no self buffs.
So if you have, on your equipment/group buffs, a choice between DA, crit, CA dmg or haste? Haste should be the last thing on your mind, unless it's the haste buff from a mythical illusionist which has 10DA on it.
Here's another thing, it takes 200 points of haste to get 125%(max) haste, but DA is straight up, as 100% is the max, no diminishing returns. So in the above options if it's a choice between 50%DA and 100pts or 100% DA and 50pts of haste? #1 will put you at 100% DA AND max haste or very close to it, especially with self buffs. #2 will put you WAY past max haste, so far above it you might as well turn off Spurious Bravado cause you don't need it anymore, however you are now only at 50% DA, and you have wasted haste laying around doing nothing for you. Even you consider haste the better option, scenario #1 is still best.
However, because most of us live the in SoE world, neither option will happen.
Auto attack is the most important thing in a swashbuckler's arsenal, making up 40-50% of our DPS, CAs making between 25-30% (estimate) and the rest is from poisons and procs.
With this in mind, DA and melee crit should be on the top of your list.
With the mythical, manipulator's hood, treasureseekers band and CMayong Wrist (star darkened) i sit at a grand total of 22% DA, you can get another 10 out of the TNT ring (which I sadly don't have) or the Trooperscale boots (I wear the crit boots). Without trakanon gear or avatar gear, that's pretty much the highest you can get. If you raid frequently, most of this stuff will come almost automatically.
Meaning Crit should be at the top of your list to obtain followed quickly by CA dmg which is a suprisingly large boost to DPS, especially if you have the mythical. DPS mod should be on a few pieces of equipment, but like haste, I'm at consistantly high levels of DPS mod in this expansion. So haste and DPS mod are really nothing to concern yourself with.

holy........

keep crit and da equal or let crit be a bit higher is key

maxing out with crit gear your cas is wonderfull

i personaly can get with a bard and all stuff i could use to 77% crit , 38da, and 450 ca mode

without myth !!!!
i parse on t2 golems arround 4-8k depends on raid setup / group setup / raid dps

gl testing, finding new gear it took me over 4 month to get to this point where no heroric zone ingame would give me a better item.
