Aye I think out of every epic quest our is by far one of the easiest... the only thing really standing between us and our epic WAS Pirate Jones.... Now it's just a hand out.... I'm seeing half rate and less than half rate, swashbucklers running around my server with it now.... Guess the more appropriate way to have put that comment would have been....

Comaprtively to before it is a joke, but now it is more in line with our epic weapon in general.

1st time i tried id we had a pu tank in our group and i was thinking damn this a hard and chaotic encounter.
Then our MT logged on, we zoned in he grabbed jones and we killed. Incredible how much difference there was due just having a proper tank.

What made our epic hard was the puzzle solving. We had some of the hardest.

Unfortunately, if you have walkthroughs holding your hand through the whole thing...You have no puzzles to solve.

I'm glad I didn't have a guide in front of me the whole time, though I did log onto a PvE server a few times to find out infos when I got stuck for too long.

You know, I was getting more than a little discouraged when I pulled together a PUG to help me kill Pirate Jones this weekend. I tried and wiped to him four or fives times in a matter of 15 seconds. It was depressing. Then the ranger and the templar had to bail. I had convinced myself that I wasn't ever going to be getting my fabled epic and then it hit me:

"When Noldor tells you he can tank like a guardian, don't listen."

Picked up a guardian, a dirge and a badassed assassin and we slaughtered PJ in about 30 seconds. Ta da. Now I get to join the ranks of tier 2 (post-nerf) smug bastards that tell folks that PJ is a retardedly easy fight.

Yay me! lol

lol, grats.

And agreed Ark, what made the epic quest fun was figuring it out.

Figuring it out?... I didn't use a guide but I've played Zelda games that had harder puzzles. ROFL. It was amusing, I'll give it that, but not puzzling... Hardest part was finding it, and once that info was out on the Swash WW channel. All you had to do was read. /shrugs

I stand by my statement with that being said. The only thing standing between us and our fabled Epic.... Was pirate Jones.

Now... the difficulty of the questline and fight scenario's are = if not even less spectacular, then the weapon itself. Heh.

There were certain parts where there were no clues or the clues were very vague, and figuring them out meant running around in the world looking for random shit. On PvP servers at the time there were quite a few groups roaming around making it a tad more difficult!

Oh well, I did get server disco on both the fabled and mythical. Missed the WW fabled disco by about 45 minutes too. :P
