Re: New Set Gear Changes
i think 4 crit / 4da is equial to lets say 175 ca damage or so maybe higher....
so either u take helm or fuck 5 dps on gloves and take green dragon gloves with 2 da.
i mean i cant decide about that yet.... i have the gloves from green dragon so i might take the helm Oo tough decission
but over all, nice revamp, much better then i thought they would do the change.
oh btw some of u dont have ring of tunarian might, a thought about trooper scale boots ? or fuck both ? i mean with so much crit gear out there do we need 2 crit rings ? or a str dps mastercrafted ring better ? i think this question what would be better for me cant be answered at all. everybody needs to look at what he has and what not but i think for 99% i take the manipulators head cause dps is nice to have, haste is not so much needed as a swashy.

Re: New Set Gear Changes
I think that probably sometime in the future, devs are going to need to revamp AAs that involve crit/DA, or they're going to need to revamp t8 loot in general. Yes, most of the new VP sets are fucking uber and awesome, but itemization is starting to get pretty screwey. A little too good, honestly.
Probably sometime before the next expansion or maybe right as the next expansion comes out I see them doing an AA or item revamp.
Don't take me the wrong way, I'm not complaining, I'm just thinking that armor's starting to get to the point where it's going to be ridiculously good for it to be an upgrade so they might be doing a revamp sometime.

Re: New Set Gear Changes
Mizou, depends what group you are in. In MT group with dirge coercer and approx. 150 dps mod, I take off my crafted str ring and wear 3 crit ring and TNT ring.
When I'm in group without coercer, my dps mod is like 70 or 80 ish, so in that case you would be much better off with the str ring than a 2 crit ring for sure.

Re: New Set Gear Changes
Same, I wear the RoTM and proc ring most times, switching proc ring for the Thuuga ring (2% crit +75 CA) only in the MT group (150+ dpsmod)
the str proc ring is probably the single most effective piece of gear i wear on a raid in terms of increasing overall damage, followed very closely by the RoTM :D

Re: New Set Gear Changes
Ya, I've fallen in love with my newly acquired TNT cloak. Of course the 4 crits is nice, but the power proc keeps you at full power like all the time even without an enchanter...it's pretty sick.

I've always thought this thing was underrated... imho it's byfar the best scout cloak in the game, even with t8. 4 crit and unlimited power, the TNT Cloak is sick :P

Re: New Set Gear Changes
The TNT cloak is sick as hell.. I am now finaly able to drop some different adornments on my weapons /remove Phantom handles.... Anyways back on this thing of DA and Crit.. I honestly have to say that i sit at a measly 8 DA self buffed but am almost at 70% crit. I can sacrifice about 10%crit and gain another 15 DA ( 23 DA total) but i do not see any difference in the amount of DPS i put out. I know there has to be some type of difference with DA vs Crit but I see no difference.. But more on subject with this Thread... I like the changes to the new class armor sets and will be looking forward to getting a complete set.. and as far as the revamp goes for another expansion at this point its going to have to a new game EQ3 lol...

Trak cloak owns the shit out of it, but short of that, yes, it's head and shoulders above any other T8 cloaks.

Mendandbar, get out of our Swashy threads. I know they're way cooler than your brigand area, but stay where you belong!
