Ok, I've been reading through many forums and I still have yet to figure out what the hell I am doing wrong. I figured you guys could point me in the right direction!

I'm looking to increase my DPS, I've re-spec'd my AA's to what most of you had suggested in previous posts. (STR/AGI) line.

Besides switching out my main weapons (plan on doing that this weekend) what else should I be looking at. Right now I think I am avg'ing around 1k DPS. But I KNOW I should be quite abit higher.

Any help would be much appreciated!

In what situations are you averaging 1k dps? That is really really low, no offense. More info is necessary, and there's nothing really wrong with the MC'd 4.0 weapons if thats the best you can do.

I was parsing in CoA and KC the other night. Seems like there was no change in DPS when I changed my AA lines. I am just wondering if it's a timing issue on my part or something else. I parsed myself and a lvl 80 Brig, he was outparsing me by about 1.2K on avg. in CoA. Not sure what other info I could give ya. This is of course using poisons (Turgur/Vit B/can't recall the third)

WTF are you using vitality breach? Use caustic or hemo. Damn. No wonder you parse like crap.

Honestly I think lots of your problem is gear... Though there are a couple other factors. You might want to get more gear with + double attacks, + meele crits. There is another post on this forum about gear, you might wanna check it out. Lots of good items you can get from quests. (assuming your not in a raid guild to have access to raid gear). As for weapons I think you can do much better. Maybe by hitting CoA like you do youll get lucky and get Carodicutter. Try to get and finish the Anaphalaxis quest.. Also there are dps adornments and potions and poisons to help boost those numbers also. There is one potion that adds +4 meele crit, many adornments you can put on your weapon (temporary effects) +3 meele crit, +3 dbl attack ect... and poisons.. you might wanna consider getting some good hemotoxin and or caustic as was stated in one of the other posts on this. Your group buffs also are something that plays a factor. Dirge in group = mad lovin..... anyhow I would start with your gear bud. take A look at eq2 players and check out some of the Swashies and see what everyones wearing or save time and look at the gear post that someone put on here. Ok first of all get rid of any mastercrafted gear that has sta and change it to int for poisons. Use Caustic in instances and hemo in raids. Use Insight and enguarde when ever its up until you get a couple few mobs from the nameds. When you use it, use it at the start of the fight when you have all your fast attacks refreashed so you can drop the hate on em note blame blade has a long recast so I normally use it at the start of fights after TS so its up for insight on the next fight. No delay, spam CA's with it up no worrying about melee attacks until its down. Make sure you're behind the mob for pirate stab and rotating for eyepoint. Double attack is huge, make sure you're getting Illy Arm and ancestry for procs. Get a ring of thugga and try to get above 200 +CA in as few items as possible. If you get into a fight with lots of mobs its money, drop insight and engaurde then use AoE's. Make sure Hurricane is up in instances (I'm on pvp so its not a good idea anywhere else) and you keep all the targets in front or flanking you because it won't hit them if they're behind you. I suggest experimenting with your gear by putting some gear on then examining your CA's with the right click examine thing then swap gear and mouse over the CA to compare the effects it has on it. Keep in mind Str as well as +CA effect the damage listed in the CA. Lots of other stuff tbh but thats off the top of my head

Thanks for all the pointers. I was using Vit. Breach because I was solo'ing alot, helped me not get my arse too dead. I'll switch poisons and look for better CA/STR stats.
