hello Swashies! im joinin' the ranks, from Ranger to Swashbuckler. If i recall correctly the swashy is pretty decent with the DPS on a normal, say CoA run, usually the top everytime....

now to my point... i was reading into the DA / CA / Crit sections for the swashy, and just wasn't 100% sure on the types of weapons that are "prefered" for the max dps, for soloing / grouping / casual raiding..

i have a lvl 30 swash right now, and just want to improve myself to the fullest, and i wasn't sure if i should be using slashing/piercing etc.. i wanted to go piercing, but im not sure with end game gear which way is best to get the 400/400 in, slashing or piercing.. i know the swash epic is piercing too, but for now as a lowbie i wanna max my DPS from here to 80.. i need some suggestions, is gear more important at lower lvls, such as weapons, or are masters? i know the delay concept, so i am just not sure were to spend my coin. gear or masters! weapon suggestions? AA suggestions for low lvls, til end game?

While you are leveling up I would suggest using both a slashing and piercing weapon to get your both of your skills maxed out. As for AA setup the first line I would go for is agility, walk the plank is great for soloing. As far as gear and masters, I wouldnt waste too much money on that as they will quickly become obsolete.

Aye. Get a slashing and piercing weapon. Focus on Rogue Tree at first (AGI to Walk the Plank then STR).

I would probably try to get decent weapons (MC), but nothing else. Maybe a master or two, but only really important ones.

when i was leveling up on my swashy i went straight for wisdom, to max my avoidance but be able to stay offensive no matter what, then i went for agi. i had about 8 days playtime when i hit 70, and soloed my way there with this setup. this is all just how i did it.

btw double attack > anything else ! da does not have to scale while crit does scale to the lvl of the mob !

DA > Crit? Hell no!
MC > DA > DPS or CA? > Haste

You don't need much more MC than 60 - 70% iirc.

ty for the help all =). im just tryin to get my timing down for my auto attack, 2-3 CA then i get my proc with DA on auto attack, saves me mana and CA to move on faster to the next mob, fun stuff. im actually really surprised how pleased i am with the swashy after playing my Ranger for so long... anyone got any feedback on how much they enjoy the Swash and such eh.. thx again all.

Swashie own the fun factor imo for classes! I have a ton of alts, but I have grown a fondness for my newly rolled Swashbuckler. I look foward to playing her on non-raid nights.
