Hey all.

First, I am a returning swash was brig. Have played for 4 years and consider myself "fairly" good player.

Second, with that in mind, heres the question:

I have been looking at my parses (Incl. everything, even Trak kill w/ one wipe) for VP, etc. and notice that many (Slip, Coel, etc.) don't have many (or any) entries for zero minimum damage. My parse has zero's all over it, like its trying to tell me something.

So, if something hits, how can it do zero damage!? Don't get on the short bus by saying stoneskin, absorbtions, etc....I am talking ZW here, no one enc.

Short piercing skill? A3 not good as M1 (this is happening for M1 CA's as well btw). Just can't quiet put my finger on it, but it certainly a shitload of missing DPS.

Everything looks fairly comparative to everyone else's percentages: 42-48% AA, followed by the same basic %'s of damage for other things as everyone else has.

What am I missing here?
(P.S. Gear on PS is not current for a few items)

Ok, here's the most recent parse: Troub, Inqu, Fury, SK, Necro (Don't ask, I try not to..lol) Still LOTS of zero's in the Min. damage column. Now, I have seen in instances with Dirge, no zeros - but not sure if its just the Dirge, or the fact that its non-epic content.

Pierce is over 480-490 in group. Myth+CC. Incl. all enc.

Not sure what you are talking abouat coule, the final wisdom ability which gives you + skills, and slip is a deaggro that puts you into stealth? why dont you post the zw and show us what your talking.
Also a lot of proc items when they are resisted show up in act as zero damage, like my shadow woven bp that procs fangs of byzola will show up as the proc as fangs of byzola with 0 damage, but when it procs it shows up as mindbite with damage.

Easiest way to see if your piercing is low is to check your to hit rate by going to act and checking your auto attack damage hit rate, if its below id say 82-84% on trash mobs its way to low.

Just wanted to note that as of today, the Player Station is still not showing the right gear. Chest is Lava Forges, Boots of Plunder & a couple other VP set items. Jewelery still blows chunks.

Raid Force has no issues clearing VP, working TSO now. Think raid DPS was 65-75k for that 3rd Wing parse. I even fiddle around deleting named enc. and a couple of strange recorded events that had nothing to do with actual fights.

If you get stoneskinned, that means No Damage, which means 0!

I understand that, and also pointed it out in my OP. Also the only way that it would account for it is if every mob used skin, this is a ZW parse. Also, as noted, the good parses in the parse thread show little to no zero damage entries on the main CA's.

As a side bar, about half my CA's are M1's the rest are A3's.

EDIT: I suppose, all things being equal....would only take one mob to stoneskin make it zero damage - that I get, my point is more about why don't other swash parses show similar zero results. Figured I better clarify before the flaming starts..lol

Sorry if I am dragging this out, and seemingly talking to myself..lol. Just really bugging me.

Another question occurred to me as well, could it be an ACT setting - I know you can opt to not show zero damage hits as Hits. I assume everyone is not doing this though.

Perhaps turning it off for some fights may shed some light on whats going on?

In your original post you mentioned you were fighting Trak as part of it. During trak, if you get the green vial detrimental, it will cause all of your attacks (ca's, temps, etc.) to do 0 damage. Therefore causing your parse to show a minimum zero damage for anything you used during the time you had the detrimental.

Problem solved.

I believe the Trak parse is not included in that parse. I have started to pay closer attention to the zero issue, and I am still seeing it. I just looked over Cexi's recent parse, no zero damages.

I would be happy for anyone to just say, "Stop obsessing over it ya nut".

EDIT: As a side not, that was my first run on VP. I picked up almost every piece of VP set, cept chest (min. DKP ftw!) My single encounter has gone up well past 5k, approaching 6k on some lucky fights...and the ZW has gone up a decent bit with mix/match Void/VP stuff. Still wielding CC in off hand and now realizing truly what a PoS it is for raid (and I was soo stoked when I got it on my first CoA run ever..lol )

New Updated parse with the VP/void mix. Mind you, I am in a non-mt group, and this was Wiz, Troub, Illy (Had IA), Fury (had Feral), Temp. I know this is not an optimum group, just wanted to throw it out for discussion purposes. Bout 60K or so raid DPS

No zero damage in the main CA's and what not, will see if the pattern holds, cause I can't think of what else changed.

Last, seems to me the crits are still WAY low, so much more damage could be done. Working on it now.

Because they know not to use CA's on a mob with stoneskin up?

So much effort put into solving such an obvious issue.
