Hi there,

To maximum my DPS in raids, I almost when through 8 months threads in swashy forum.
There are many swashies parsing crazily, like 9, 10 ,11K DPS.
After looked the parse snapshops in parse thread, I though the higher DPS CAs in snapshots might be a hint of casting order.
So that I reordered my casting order and tried so many experiments. I just couldn't reach those amazing number.

I come here to seek some help on maxium my DPS in raid. If you guys notice there were something I was doing/set up wrong, Please kindly correct me and give me some advice.
I will really appreciate any input from you all.

I have 161 AA points so far and we just got our mythical weapons last Sunday.
I am always in MT grp, which are Guardian (168 AA), Templar(167 AA), Mystic (172 AA), Coercer (164 AA), Dirge (162 AA)
Before we got our mythical weapons, I usually did 5.5 ~ 6.7K DPS. After we had mythical weapons and killed some trash (still 2 named left in VP), my DPS was 6.2 ~ 7.4K. My record high is 8.5K DPS (with mythical weapon).
Usually , I wear Choker on trash, Ganak's Torque on names.

Raid gears : EverQuest II Players - Profile for Kalous
I don't have any piece of VP/TSO pattern armor set so far.
AA : Str 4 6 4 8 1; AGI : 4 6 4 8 1, INT: 8 1 (though we need Int for poison damage)
Style : 4 sneak, 1 avoid, 5 5 1; Reach: 5 on each, 0 on hail of steel; Potency : 5 on slice, metal poisons, furry, 3 on offensive, turgur. and 1 on Potency.
TSO : 5 on pet of the gods, hearty, quick strike, offensive prowess, Rouge's Flurry, circle of blades, Poison mastery, and 1 on Evasive, Thieving, Battle Endurance
CAs quality : most of my decrease Mit CAs are M1, and have few M1 on others
Time auto attack : Usually 2 CAs 1 AA, depends on my haste
Casting order : I cast bigger/debuff mit CAs first then whatever. I always have CAs to cast.
Starting with Trickery on pull and then Eye Point --> Evasive & Triple Blade --> Sack and Kidney stab --> then whatever.
Poison : I use Expert's Caustic poison. STR/Threat debuff poisons.
Self DPS buffs : To average out my ZW DPS , I pair up 2 buffs in fights when they are available. For instance : Ruthless Cunning/On Guard -->Finesse/Insight --> On Guard --> Insight
Other buffs : I always get DPS buff from Coercer, which is about 110 in total. Other than that, I don't get RoA from mystic or templar.
Weapon Adornments : I use Smoldering Serpentine Temper on my main/off hand weapon (not sure if I should change them to Smoldering Vampiric Handle or Smoldering Oilstone )
Adornments : I use 1 MC/DA temp. weapon adornment and MC potion most of time.
MC/DA : in raids, my MC/DA are usually 65/45 , might be 65/58 when buffs from armor and boots are triggered.
Deity : I don't use any them at all, due to finance issue.
Portion of meleeing / others : ~ 48 / 52

A Mythical guild really helps out the dps of everyone.

I'd go for full DA, meaning 2 temp buff DA + potion = 10 static DA.

Other than that... dunno... 2 ca 1 AA is what i do, just try to reduce the time between that aa and the next CA casted... If that makes any sens!

What you aren't realizing is those supah high parses are because of several things...

Multiple mob encounters.
Gear.
Stacked group(sometimes).

With the numbers you claim, I think you're just fine. Your dps will improve (10k+) with the conditions mentioned above.

Casting order is way too dynamic to boil down on a scout, especially a swashy.

When looking for nothing but selfish dps, it's important to consider 'potential' damage over time from a CA, and prioritize based on that - ie. kidney stab (with aa's) is by far your most potent CA and first priority to cycle.

When you're actually doing your job you pretty much hit the nail on the head, debuffs are important.

I normally debuff first then unload. But for shits and giggles, last night I decided to neglect that initial order.

Where I was parsing 7.5 to 8.5 with debuffing on single encounters, I dropped approximately 1k in dps.

That just reinforced the idea I had all along since I started raiding.

Added in Raid wide DPS. Those guys doing 10k+ dps are in guilds that will be pushing huge raidwides i expect.

Big nail on the head, get your raid to stop slacken, every one should toss in some dps on trash! those ppl doing less than 2k now a days are waisting your raid space, tell them to pick it up! even some healers. long as group dont die
but with out knowing your raid wide dps , i say your doing pretty good, but your also at the point that dps will not make a huge jump untill raid tightens up!

Yah that's a given. I talk about this all the time with my friends in the raid and I don't know why I didn't put that in there hehehe.

try to get your shaman if your in the mt group to alacrity you on trash ;), my defiler in guild doesn't that often but our mystic always does.

I agree with what Rippit said in using kidney stab as often as possible, ive had this spell hit for over 6k before i make sure everytime its up i'm using it, other then that i try to save sack/uncanny thrusts til i see a dispatch.

Don't try to blow sack/uncanny or other high dmg stuff until you know you wont miss ( mob well debuffed ).

And also what kanoth said is 100% true, i raid on nagafen and my guild in qeynos has many high parsers ( like 6 people that can get 8k-10k on any trash fight in palace for instance ) but people that parse low like healers who do 100 dps, or bards doing 2k dps really bring down the overall raid dps.
