Soul Lancer

Is everyone that's going for a full set of T2 shard armor going for half Dauntless and half Soul Lancer's to get the 4% CA increase, instead of going all Dauntless? Seems to make perfect sense (unless different empowered arts don't stack) but wanted to make sure. Right now I just have the swash/brig armor, half T1 and half T2, so if I'm gonna make the switch I need to decide before I waste any more shards.

I have the BP for the heal proc and the hat for the +3 defense (2 peice bonus gives +20 STR/INT too) for when I go named hunting. I actually use the BP for the heal in TotMC when we fight the snake and I get cursed.

I'm out of shards atm, and have not considered any other peices of the soul lancer set. You have any further insight?

I went with the 3 Soul Lancer, and the Dauntless bp for DA so far. I'm also out of shards tho.

im going 4 tso and 3 dauntless for magic proc and da proc seems to be working out nicely imo

I was gonna go 3 dauntless, but I guess I'm testing the 4% base dmg from 3-set Soul Lancer to the 3-set Dauntless magic proc. Just don't have enough shards to get the extra 2 dauntless pieces yet.

4% base dmg > that proc, imo.

i have the shoulder, wilderness, rest of that shit sucks! imo proc is not worth loseing raid gear! tested and proven !

I'm saving shards for the Soul Lancer T2 set. I figure it might be kind of nice, until they get around to nerfing it.

yeah laa i was just looking at that the other day tbh never noticed the 4% lol till just a few days ago when i was about to pick up my t2 soul lancers shoulders

I'm thinking soul lancer=
shoulders (for 8% on spells that the dauntless doesn't have)
boots (has 3 melee crit where dauntless has mostly DA)

and the other three pieces dauntless for the Greater deathly lifetap

Unfortunately that means replacing my T2 spaulders and two pieces that I already have T1 fearless, which means I wasted about 50 shards. Ultimately I know that setup will be better than all 6 being dauntless. Im not in that big a hurry though, what ive got now (3 daunt and 3 fear) isnt bad because of the doubling up on the lifetap procs. Plus I started raiding so hopefully I'll be getting some drops there.
