So can someone tell me about "Riposte".
What triggers it?
When does it happen?
How much and what type of damage?
Relationship to On-Guard or other CA's?
...any other information.

When a mob attacks you from the front (face to face), there is a chance to riposte.
It doesn't "deflect" nor "block" like a parry would, but it *returns* the attack back to the attacker.
Basically it makes an additional return-attack.
It should be melee based (dependant on your equiped weapons).
Actually, any frontal hits on your person 'should' have a chance to riposte (think melee AoE).
Hope that helps, or gets u started.
FYI, most this info/knowledge is what I knew of EQ1's riposte, but in general it should be the same in EQ2.
