Spell Crit ?

Know i have been pretty loyal when it come to being a swashy that sticks with good advice... But as of late i have been intrigued with a procing items! So i am looking at ACT and i notice my major procing items are like uber in every way but one!..I lack the spell crit... so i went into my Act again and pulled up the worse procing item i have, basically the proc on weapons<( hmm) the did shit for dps IMO... So i want to let every one know i swaped them out for 4% spell crit! AS for how it is doing..well I did notice a difference from ACT ..there % of citing is higher....and seeing i have a shit load of proc that can crit there has to be sum what of a boost in dps! I also notice POM, COB, and Illy POM crit % went up..as for my dps...hard to say as of yet....but i can say I have passed that 12k+ hump i was in!

And as for my group Off tank, dirge, Templar ,shaman, Me, and Illly
Some time healer change or coercer ! but that is mostly trash dps set up!

So I will keep people in formed how it works, and if any one else had the plat and want to also test it with higher raid dps. or lower see if it is worth it....plz fill free..might be something worth trying out!

The guild brig and I were having a convo on this the other night and he said this is what he was going to be doing.

It sounds like a good piece of advice to me.

Yeah one of the screwed up facts in this game is that our myth as well as just about every other proc item we can wear, proc based on spell crit and not melee crit. At the same time our CAs crit based on melee crit. Same is true for all melee oriented classes.

I know it dont seem like much! But it is more then the crappy proc/ heal u put on your weapons ! If you have proc gear it is A very noticeable upgrade!

I was considering that change too, but I am not sure. Go read chanters forums, most of them agree that 1% damage spell crit chace = 25 to 30 dps added, and it will affect all their arsenal. how can a 4% do that huge increase to us? in best situations, the total dps I get from procs (poisons included) is 3 to 3.3 K average

I have decided to do this as well as soon as I can get the adornments. I am also using the wild wilderness shoulders vs dauntless and have already noticed a increase in proc damage.

Did you do calculations on proc damage increase by only adding "Spell Crit %" gear or did you try the dual "+45 spell and combat dmg" type equipment.

I haven't raided enough to gather better armor than TSO tier2 so I might stick with (3) Dauntless for the Greater Deathly Lifetap, and get 3 Soul Lancer (Arms, Boots, Glove) for the Empowered Essence IV. Increase base Spell and Combat Art damage by 4.

I might just do it to increase dps since I dont care about the Dauntless set's (5) Greater Misstep.

2x vampiric against 4% spellcrit

if u do the math or outparse the stuff u come to the fact that 2x vampiric also heals u (avatars - harder encounters) + the damage is equal

ive tried this out for over 1 year in rok (less procs) and 4 month ago

Well fist of all vampiric a year ago sucked..but when u put on void proc and your poison and factor in all the other proc now available! the 60 ish dps you get from vampic proc and heal < you have healers right! vampiric suck ass! to lose suck lil proc and gain higher crit on proc that well for me have done 1k+ dps even as high as 3k. That 60 dps don't mean shit! i am considering lose a small proc and adding crit to the stuff that is huge dps for us! greater void bane ,greater undead bane , ethernaught item... poisons , Pom ..ect you get the point! you don't factor in just one. if you do then either you don't have it or not using it!
