Hey guys looking for some tips here.
I've recently switched mains from Monk to swashy after 3+ years of being a monk and I'm looking for a little info.

I have a pretty good casting order so that's not really a prob, the class is kind of fast and flowing like a monk so it was a smooth transaction to switch. My concerns here are this. My monk solo has 500+ slashing Crushing, Piercing, etc etc, and his hit % on orange mobs are well above 90%, I think the last I looked I was 95%ish (don't quote me could be off +1 -1)
Now my swash has myth decent offhand(razor from Tombs) and her slashing, Piercing, etc is 500+ solo as well. Now when I go through my logs I'm seeing her hit % 65% is for slashing and about 65%-67% for piercing.

Most of the time I was in group with a dirge as a monk, and more so now as a swash I'm in a troub group(assassin or the better geared swash is in MT group) I have been in the MT group a few times but when going through my logs I've only seen a few parses where my hit % is above 71%.

Why is my hit % so low on my swash and what can I do(without uber raid gear, as I'm lacking in dkp so I'll be last in line for the good stuff) to increase my accuracy. That right there is costing almost half in dps loss and tbh is making me look bad lol.

Welcome to being a Swashbuckler. For some reason rogues have extremely lower hit rates than any other melee class in the game for no apparent reason at all (this is rather recent though). I think it's just Aeralik's way of giving us the finger. He hates us.

Doesn't the monk myth have a 50% strikethrough on avoidence check? Thats most likely why you 'notice' the difference.. In a proper raid/group setup now that most dirges have 6 set etc, my hit rates are 90% or better.. most of the time.

well my chances of being grouped with a dirge is very slim, so pretty much I'm hosed and have to let the GL know its not my fault I can't hit the mob?

There should be one swash in your raid and he should be in the mt group with a dirge, if you have more than one swash have him betray.

If he does not wanna do that then he has larger issues than your hit rates
