Default Advice from vets

I am going to work on my 41 swash and wanted some advice.. First, finding groups is always a pain, so any suggestions for solo'ing? I have completed all but the heroic quests in SFM and close to finished Feerot. SS is too hard, as is EF.. So where to go?

Any opinions about armor/weapon upgrade at 42? I could dish out almost 1p each for ebon items, but is it really worth it from the T4 mastercrafted I have? (Not really the cost I have concern with, its the point) hehe..

Lastly, I am torn between dual or 1h weapons. I have always done dual but am thinking of using a shield instead because I solo most of the time.

Any other pointers would be great!

All I can say is when you hit 45 do SS faction quests, MD quests and quests from the trader and embalmer, awesome awesome xp and AA xp keep going through the godking line and get into a court and run those quests you get awesome xp.

I did sword/shield because I practically soloed to 70 then I respeced to a grp friendly build, the sword and shield helps alot for soloing

Until you can take Anel's advice, do you have Splitpaw? It's been a while since my last trip, but it does have several solo zones that adjust to your level (up to 50 I believe). You can pick up a few solo quests there as well.

I almost forgot about splitpaw.. I will go back.. Any thoughts on the armor? Are there any "must do" swashy quests in my level range that give good items?

Mastercrafted and fabled will be better than most items you can quest with the exception of certain heritage quest such as "The Journey is half the Fun" for boots which can be soloed. "The Teaching of Yoru" for a haste belt which probably can't be soloed at the appropriate level. There are also 2 dual wield heritage quest The Reaching Blade of the Assassin and The Rescue of the Green Hoods but you probably need help for those too.

I'm a brig but as for not wanting to pay 1p for mastercrafted chain their is a trick. Get mastercrafted cloth. The mit is nearly the same more agi/str i beleive and you will pay nearly 1/4 of what you will pay per rare a full set will cost a lil more than a plat. Grind a bit more in sfm when you hit 44 go to ss grin to 49 then do basket quests in tt till 52 then do warchests and medicine chests this should get you to 56 from their it is breading grounds sos poa. if you do it right you can be 70 in just a few weeks.

et'sipes habaugen of undeath or something. i believe its from clearing the middle "enraged guard" section. The named is Et'sipe

My suggestion is to head over to eq2i and check out the "solo quest line" section. Do as many of those as you can: Not only are they better xp than groups (in my experience), but you will easily hit 100AA's at 70 and they often give good rewards.

I have leveled many alts using this method and it seems to be the best by far. If you prefer grouping, atleast work on these quest lines while looking for group - they shouldn't be ignored
