Default RoK and our AA's

In the interview Scott talked about AA's in RoK. He said that they may not add a new tree but some changes would be made to existing AA trees and he also said that some of the special weapon requirements would be taken out. I would love to see the empty-off hand requirement of our Wis line turned into no-weapon in the offhand but you could still use a shield. Yeah they would have to change the name of Freehand Reversal so it would make sense. But damnit I hate having an empty slot! And really we are SwashBUCKLERS

Swashbuckler is a term that came about in the 16th century and was applied to rough, noisy and boastful swordsmen. It came about due to the popularity of the fighting style using a side-sword with a buckler in the off-hand, which was filled with much "swashing and making a noise on the buckler"

So yeah we need to be able to use bucklers imo. They said that some restrictions were looking to be changed with RoK and I would LOVE to see this. Hell they can even make it specific to be a buckler, I would love to carry around buckler of the howler. Anywho your thoughts?

For something like wis line where you double attack, I doubt that requirement would be removed, would make swashes overpowered to be able to do the sta/wis line you would get awesome dps along with nice defense

Be pretty fucking sweet tho hah

But asinine shit like needing sword in str line just to use a simple ability makes more sense to remove those requirements

Sounds like the removing of weapon requirements is mainly because of the epic weapons coming, so maybe you will see things like str/agl/int line losing their requirements for needing a TYPE of weapon, but sta/wis will probably remain the same because they dont require a TYPE of weapon but rather something to be in/or out of your off hand

No shield pls. If you want to use shiled, sta line is for you.

but i would love to use something non-weapon and non-shield like. Like icons for priests. Something we can hold in free hand, but offering no protection or damage, only stats and/or effects.

Not anyone that can say anything.

If anyone was privy to such information they would be muzzled by a NDA.
