Lets face it, out of the best DW's in the game, how many are attainable? I've been raiding for most of KoS and all of EoF and out of the top DW's I've only seen the following:

GDoH - 1x
Bisected Sabre - 0
Brell Weapon - 0 (Disso hasn't even seen Brell since he got that weapon)

Ur luck is the opposite of the one we have, we got 3 or 4 drops of bisected so far, but still waiting for the 1H's.
Either mob is not up or its dropping some other shite loot.

as much as everyone is trying to make this out to be its not a swashy nerf. yes we will see the brunt of it but its a nerf to anyone that double attacks so zerkers and anyone with illiusionary arm is going to see it too. i dont think its going to be much more than 5%-8% off the zone wide. now they need to fix the 628 so it doent proc of ranged attacks.

And yeah to the others before you jump to conclusions it's just a question. Even before the nerf I have wondered what a Swashy could do with the two top DW compared to the top 1h. If I ever test it out it's going to be with KoS DW (Because I'm not gonna jack the Bards and Preds good DW) so it won't be a great comparison but it will give me a rough guess of where the two compare.

I doubt DW will come that close but I may be suprised. For the longest time all you ever heard from a Swash was to be Str/Wis specced for max dps and I have been Agi/Wis for a long long time and now others are realizing that it's actually comparable to Str/Wis and it blows it out of the water DPS wise with a Dirge/Temp. Let's not argue about whether it's worth it to lose swipe or not in this argument. My point is everyone is very one minded, but I would love to see some tests of the Top DW in a Swashes hands but I doubt that will happen unless the two rarest DW just happen to be rotting for some guild.

I agree it was a question... best case scenario let's say. I happen to have a GDoH, and we had a bisected drop not long ago though I had to let that slide

. Would, given the two best DWers, provide comparable dps to a wisdom rogue? I do still doubt it, but I am still interested. What could we possibly suggest for the devs to bring DWing up a touch where it probably ought to be (making it a viable option)? This is what I am interested in, more choices and the ability to actually feel like a swash again, which I sadly do not, with a one hander.

celer i was agreeing with you sorry if i missed that 1%. the point i was making is that we as swashies arent the only ones getting hit by this nerf/fix. and yes the dw that would be compairable are hard to get, so im going to stay agi/wis like i have since they allowed everyone to fill out 2 lines.

The problem with duel wielders is that the good ones are rare and there aren't many of them. This makes it impractical to use them unless your really gonna benefit from them. So my first suggestion is to make an uber duel wielder drop off a mob you can kill every 5-9 days like Mayong or a non-avatar contested - since one handers / brawlers have this with the mayong hammer or the axe from woushi and the cestus.

2nd, all duel wielders have a low delay for some reason. The devs seem to be getting it right by implementing higher delay weapons like the bisected sabre and the brell weapon. We need more dw weapons with 3.5+ sec delays.

I think these are the 2 major issues people have with dw'ing.

Hmm wonder how this new changes in GU37 will pan out.
Might that DW becomes more feasible now, might also be that its uber gimped as there will be delay on the offhand weapon ....
