I just don't understand the reasoning on a brigand being able to outdamage a Swash and why you seem to accept it so readily.
Removing Matron and Chel'drak, we are left with the rest of T7.
We have better deaggro, better self buffs, better AE, and all of our damage arts are direct damage, not DoTs. Brigands on the other hand have Double Up, aggro problems and AE avoid which does nothing on the fights were talking about except make them parse a little better in HoS thanks to fuckin knockback aes. You should kick brigand ass every time unless they get a ballistic RNG streak or somethin.
It's something that always puzzled me when I see the big boys parse about DPS. Tangarth doesn't seem to know what a Swash should parse and neither does anyone else, Disso doesn't even have an active one? He posted in a Brigand thread once that Swash should be 'about 1500' in Lyceum zonewide, presumeably using his own guild as a basis. I parse 1700 zw in Lyceum with a damn Kilij and my guild's dps eats a dick compared to Disso I will just say that straight up. So I know if I was in Disso, I'd be busting out 2k no problem at all thanks to inflated raid dps. The only classes that even have a prayer of parsing higher than me in Lyceum over a zw parse are conj and nec. If you lose to anyone else especially packing that shard, you are doing something wrong. DT and Labs are essentially the same, I usually do 1300-1500 while noone else in my guild breaks 1.2k. In HoS I do about 1200-1300, which is what Tang posted he does in his zonewides in HoS in that same post. So really, I just don't see it.
Of course, the only encounters with actual challenge of course, are the 2 fights I excluded, everything else is just a wank fest for people to brag about DPS. But hey, I didn't design the game so don't blame me! And not like Swash are alone in being uneffective against those encounters.
