Maybe it should be, but I think you could get it cheaper. But yea, I could be wrong.

Yea I know. I know a decent amount but I don't think I would be comfortable physically building my own PC. Plus warrenty and all that good stuff makes it worth them building it IMO.
Thanks, would appreciate a few more comments. Probably going to purchase either today or tomorrow as long as there isn't anything real major that I'm either missing or have and need something better.

Because a 1 year warranty through them is so much better than the 5 years you get from a retail hard drive that you install yourself. Thats just 1 example.
For $2000, I'd have a computer tucking me in at night. Why not just pay someone on this site to assemble a better computer for half the cost? Spending 20 minutes on Newegg and putting it all together and having the warranty through them for the 1st year on most parts. There warranty service is better than anyone I have encountered.
And I love how they magically have Vista SP1 installed on computers when it hasn't been released out of beta......

*BASE_PRICE: [+875]
- CAS: ($25 off Mail-in Rebate) New! Apevia X-Jupiter Full Tower Gaming Server w/ Temp Display and Fan Control 420 Watt Power 420 Watts wouldn't run my hair dryer, more less my computer. [+71] (G Type Black Color with Side-Window)
- CASUPGRADE: 12in COLD CATHODE NEON LIGHT [+10] (BLUE COLOR)
- CS_FAN: Extra 3-Color Neon Light LED Case Fan [+5] (2 x Fans [+5])
- CPU: AMD Athlon™64 X2 6400+ Black Edition Dual-Core CPU w/ HyperTransport Technology [+134] If you're going to pay 2,000 dollars for a computer, it damn sure better have a Core 2 duo in it, AMD has gone to hell. I used to be a big fan but when Core 2 Duo came out, I made the change that makes sense. Get the FUCK AWAY from AMD.
- CD: (Special Price) 20X DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW DRIVE DUAL LAYER (BLACK COLOR)
- CD2: 16X DVD ROM (BLACK COLOR)
- FAN: CoolerMaster Liquid CPU Cooling System (Superior Cooling Performance + Extreme Silent at 20dBA) You only need liquid cooling if you are going to overclock, if you're having someone else build your computer, I strongly advise against it.
- HDD: Single Hard Drive (500GB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 16MB Cache 7200RPM HDD [+50])

- MEMORY: (Req.DDR2 MainBoard)4GB (4x1GB) PC6400 DDR2/800 Dual Channel Memory [+200] (Corsair Value Select or Major Brand) 4GB? You must be planning on Vista, which is a Turd.
- NETWORK: ONBOARD 10/100 NETWORK CARD
- OS: Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium w/ Service Pack 1 (64-bit Edition [+19]) As I said earlier, Turd.
- PRO_WIRING: Professional Wiring for All WIRINGs Inside The System Chasis with High Performance Thermal Compound on CPU [+19]
- POWERSUPPLY: 800 Watts Power Supplies [+70] (NZXT PP-800 800 Watts Power Supply) I retract the 420W comment earlier, but what in your system requires 800W? The 8800 GTS would be fine with an Antec HE 550.... 800W now is overkill.

- USB: Built-in USB 2.0 Ports

Just looking at this scares the shit out of me, and quickly brings to mind why I'm glad I've been building my own for years. (Since 1994)

This is with a Quad Core Processor, Better Memory, EVGA Video Card, Antec PSU, and I included Windows XP SP2 in the cost.
All in all this sytem would out-perform the one you built by a very noticeable difference. Oh, and all the DVD/HDD's are SATA on the one I picked for you, I doubt the company you were going to buy it all from were going to do that. The Hard Drive is also 7200.11, Parallel Writing capacity and 32mb of Cache, much faster than the 500 they were going to sell you unless it's also a Seagate 7200.11, but those only have 16mb Cache.
Oh, and I gaurantee the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speakers would kick the dog shit out of their "Magical 600W" speakers any day.

i used ncix for my last one, just pick whatever parts you want and they'll put it together for free if it's over $1500 or something.
