Default Vista and Eq2

I've received significant FPS improvement AND less memory usage within EQ2 by installing GeForce Release 175
This link is ONLY good for the below spec's. If you have a different version, go to nvidia's website and get the ones for your machine.
Code:

NVIDIA Driver Downloads
GeForce Release 175 WHQL
Version: 175.16
Release Date: May 16, 2008
Operating System: Windows Vista 32-bit
Language: U.S. English
File Size: 36.2 MB
I am running around with high visual settings (minus particles because they bother me and shadows due to having multi core) and receive much better frame rates.

The memory usage for eq2 is now ~800mb instead of the 1.4+ gig.

I would suggest at least to check them out =)

I was using 175.16, but I had to revert back to 174.74 due to a bunch of artifacting in SLI in certain games (Gears of War being a major one).

It's obvious, so if you don't notice it, you're not getting it. It looked like TV static with green and red mixed in, and it'd roll across the screen in big 1" bars.

I cant even get 175 to install my sli. I click the "your system is sli capable message and then choose enable. It hangs a moment, then screen reverts to 800x600 and nvidia control panel is frozen. No clue why.

edited to add:

Vista ultimate 64
780i mobo
2x 8800 GT 512

I dont know whats going on.

Sounds like one of your video cards is bad tbh, I had a similar problem and took out my video cards (7900 GT's at the time) to find that when I had re-installed the long bastards (new case) I had accidentally broke one of the little capacitor's off. Luckily I'm an Ace with a soldering gun and put it back on and continued to use the card, but I'da been real pissed if I'd broke it forever.

Try each card solo as your main card and test them to make sure they're working, if that doesn't work, go back to an older driver and try it.

Each card works individually and nothing is broken. I have the bridge connector on. The SLI enables with the 169 drivers, just nothing newer. That has to be a software issue doesnt it?

That's exactly what I'm running. I'm actually using 174.74 over 169 because the profiles didn't work properly for me in 169. :/
