Ok, so I'm looking into buying a new video card but I don't know if my motherboard supports pci 2.0 16x , which is what like most new cards require of your motherboard, so anyhow, I was wondering if anyone knew how to check these things?

Check the motherboard's manual. The model can be found by running CPU-Z, and then you can download the manual from the manufacturer's page.

pretty sure the newer 2.0 cards will work in the older 1.0 pci-e slots.
