so i recently installed eq2 again and patched the client with a trial account because i wasn't sure if i was coming back yet, later i found out that my old account had been reactivated with 2months free. I loaded the client with my old account and now it says i have to repatch the client, any way to avoid having to repatch it?

i let it patch and its down to about 30something odd hours, then i exited out by mistake and now it just says operation timed out. Anyone know the deal with this?

Looks like the login servers are down mate. Best sit it out unfortunately. I was kicked whilst zoning and just keep getting "Operation timed out" error. The beauty is that SoE have cleverly designed a system that when this happens you are also unable to log into Station or Forums. Fortunately not all accounts have been impacted so people with more than 1 account have been able to post on the official forum. Don't hold your breath on a quick fix mind.

If you cancel your account and come back 3 months later, im sure it will work and you will have tons of free stuff and gametime to boot!
