Anyone have one of these? Or used one? I'm seeing them around $450-500 and I think I might buy one for my Dad. Who would use it for web surfing/email while traveling.

Thinking about getting the little 2g and a tiny external hd, just for moving files around between my Zune and PSP while underway.

Niber you are good with puters, go for a 4g and do some modding, might be cheaper or same price, but better/bigger components.

Or if you don't want to mod...

4G? Doesn't it have 512 RAM (appose to 1GB)?

The Wind is almost like broken wind if you know what I mean. They keep talking and nothing materializes. I do look forward to seeing what Dell comes up with, though.

If I remember correctly, ram is pretty cheap, and it could easily be upped, 2gb I think is the ceiling. Also ways to use sd cards and stuff via mods (also going from my poor memory) to supplement the SSD.

Well, I caved and bought one, it's really neat. Definitely more of a toy than anything, and the tiny keyboard takes some getting use to.
