error while game first loading

Fatal Error (Windows Error not eq2 error):
Everquest II has detected an unrecoverable error and must shutdown.

any suggestions on how to fix it...tried reinstalling Direct x didnt work.

Vista or XP?
Also what are your graphics set at there is a bug wioth vista and certain graphics settings

XP it either happens when the game is first loading or randomly after about an hour of playing...when it occurs when the game is first loading..i cant load the game until i restart the computer, because ill keep getting it

Have you tried a full system scan? You might need to uninstall and reinstall.

full system scan as in the eq2 patcher? gonna try uninstalling the game after this incredabily boring RE zone.

usually when i first turn on comp i have no problems...then after staying on for a few hours eq2 will lock up ill ctrl alt del....close it...start eq2 again then i get the error.

how sure are ya? i mean if u click the link in this topic, where it leads to the official forums, i reinstalled the driver from there took like 5 min...last nite when i read ur post i DLed it from tell and it took 3 hours (though i think that is because i didnt unzip it) but, ill let u kno if i still get it
