WOOOT yet another problem.

ok, you may have read my video card driver problem! now i cant even see if it works....i log in do the patch bla bla bla auto select my toon...and as it begins to load the game i get trying to connect to server #1-#9 or whatever...wtf my internet is fine i stay connected to AIM and IE...any suggestions?

Bah, here is something better than what i just wrote.

Description: The LaunchPad (or EQ2.exe) cannot connect to the update server or EverQuest2.exe cannot connect to the world or login server. These problems are usually caused by a misbehaving or improperly-configured firewall or router. However, there are other causes for this to occur, such as having Internet Explorer set to "work offline". The final possibility is that if your computer has Windows Vista installed, it may not be configured to allow the game to download files successfully.

Work-Around Steps: Please remove any firewall applications (not just deactivate them) and any routers, just to clear away possible causes in hopes to troubleshoot these issues. In many cases, firewall applications will detect minor changes in the game files and rule them as a possible threat to computer security (even though they are benign in nature). Alternatively, some routers employ a security system called Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI), which is incompatible with most MMO-style games and nearly all game consoles (Wii, Xbox, PS2, etc.) -- disabling that feature is highly suggested.

If you have Windows Vista, then please follow these steps to ensure that the game is set to run with Administrator credentials:

1. Right click on the program launch icon
2. Left click on "Properties".
3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.
4. In the "Compatibility Mode" area check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
5. In the drop down list make certain that "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" is selected.
6. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.
7. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".
8. Double click on the program launch icon.

Development Status: Work-around steps provided, but the development and quality assurance teams are still investigating potential causes for some of these issues.

no see, the launchpad connects and everything...i can get to my character select screen but when i select my toon then it does the server login and fails...dont have vista either its XP, see this is what is confusing is it connects to the launchpad and DL's whatever it needs to but seems to lose it.

I would talk to your crappy internet service provider or do what is said and turn off all the firewalls and see if it helps.

This was the same exact thing that happened to everyone on The Bazaar and Vox servers after GU 45 went live....They finally fixed our prob last week or so.

Not saying that's your prob, but it's the exact same thing as ours, so may be connected in some way. Was a server-side issue.

Im having similar issues, once i get past char select it crashes or says that my password is invalid (After logging in, just as zone resources load it bugs out).
