My wife recently suprised me and told me I could buy a new laptop. Wanted something portable but didnt want to spend too much. I came across this laptop for the very nice price of $1349 at Best Buy:

A few days later they price dropped to $1099 making it an even better deal. It plays EQ2 at anywhere from 20-50 fps depending on if you are in a group or raid. It also handles AoC of high but only gets about 20fps. Smooth 40+ fps on medium.

I feel its a good deal for the price/features of the laptop. the only weak link in this laptop is the processor. Thankfully, this is upgradeable. It appears the graphics card is upgradeable to according to a few review sites. They even say the system has a 2nd pci-e slot that appears to be for an upgrade down the line. Overall, it has performed nicely and it is a steal at this price.

No clue but the 8800 gts in the Gateway is a much better deal, IMO. As a bonus it also happens to be cheaper.

yea. I just bought the other one 2 weeks ago for under 1k, and the 8800 was 1350. oh well
