good for this game? yea it's more than enough. not saying you'll be able to do everything on high resolution etc, since that depends on many things besides your video card. This game needs a single, dedicated, high mhz cpu to run good. Once you have 2gb ram, 7800 or maybe 8800 series video card, it's all about raw cpu power.

Im thinkin Intel Dual Core 3.0 and 4 gigs of ram, maybe 2, not sure yet.

But with other games, 9800gtx is just plain out an awesome card or?

Yes, its a very good, capable card for current games.

Given how well crosfire seems to be scaling Id do what Cochy suggested and get a 4850 (4870 if you can).
