eq2 has detected an unrecoverable error and must shutdown! <verify> E:\live\eq2\game\client\src\NCS2.cpp (1932): Missing required window: NCS2Slideshow

this is the message i get everytime i try and log onto eq2, it appears right before the character select screen, This computer used to run eq2 fine a year ago and i just now put in a new computer power supply to get it up and running again.

I found this error is related to Direct X. Are you running any other programs in the background that may use video? Try disabling all your apps first and starting up EQ2 alone.

(this includes anything that might be using a web 2.0 interface or java scripting)

Vista itself can cause similar errors in EQ2 as well. If you start up Vista without all the hoohaa crap and run with a basic set up, it might help as well.
