I have no idea about any of that stuff. How should eq2 run on that system? What about 2boxing? Are there any relatively cheat features that I could improve to boost my eq2 performance and somehow convince my boss that I need for work?

I know nothing of how a laptop GPU would compare to it's desktop counterpart, however, even in general terms. (Not a laptop person, myself).

Yeah, I don't know what your line of work is, but if you're using some intensive programs, tell your boss more ram would help improve your multitasking capabilities or something like that, or maybe say that W7 is a memory hog... just make sure he doesn't downgrade the laptop just to get you more ram, you need some kind of dedicated video card in there. Haha.
Edit: the Video Card looks acceptable here.. 8200 on 3D Benchmark 05... I'm not sure what that translates to real life wise, but it seems like it'd handle EQ2 well enough...
