ok normally when i use speedtest it shows me where i live( in CA)

now it shows me in new york...and when i do a speed test im getting
1.3mbps download and .54mbps upload..

now my download what im payin for but my upload should only be 128ish

any idea why its coming up like that?

.54 mbps = 594 kilobytes

and I believe the site is speedtest.net

for instance, in shitty oklahoma...

If its showing you somewhere else its because your ISP fucked up your IP address or something probably. That was happening on FiOS for awhile.

I like FiOS mainly because of the latency and tv lol, the speeds are okay but nothing crazy unless you spend a shit ton of money.



That said I'm getting more UL in December because my internet package no longer exists so I'll prob switch to 25/15. I think the same shit I have now will go up $15 bucks because my movie package is more and the internet is more now and with FiOS you don't get grandfathered in if you don't get a new bundle they start charging you out of bundle costs for everything and fuck that.

damn i got the best speed i can get around here..and its 1mb down and 128k up.. fuckin sucks living in the sticks...

if my ISP fucked it up can i call them to fix it? or will they have any idea what i am talkin about?
