solid video card under $140

The Sweet spot for GPU pricing at this time is probably $200 - not going to get anything huge for $140.

What do you have now?

The only things that fall in that price are:

ATI HD5750
ATI HD4850
GTS 250 / 9800 GTX (pretty much same card)

well if you can get a 4850 for 140$ now, go for it. sweet card able to run everything interesting at high settings with ease

4870 was on slickdeals the other day for like 110 or something. Don't quote me, I just know it was a decent price.

I own a 4850, and I love it, and the overclockability. got it back in april for 80$

well im going to be building a new computer soon and depending on how much more money i have before my parents give me 650 i probably have around 700 to spend. (already have win7)

Doubt the 4850x2 would ever be any cheaper then that - and you cant even find them anymore since they are out of production.

It's still a beastly card (2 chips on 1 card) and still ranks up about 3rd in ATIs list (behind the 4870x2, 5870, and 5890) - though uses much more power then the 5800 series does.

Bleh. Thats not what I have. I just searched sapphire 4850 and thats what came up. Maybe they don't carry mine anymore.

So, thats not it. Its the single card version of it. Think it cost me 180 like a year ago so it should be cheaper than that now if you can find one. Either way, good card for the cash.
