Reference SC2 everywhere you go! I must say that I've seen people irl and been like, "hey he looks kinda like incontrol" then felt sad at myself for being such a nerd
And hows a trackball thing with SC2 anyways? Never used one.
its sick, ive been using a trackball mouse since logitech first introduced the thumb-oriented ball
its almost like cheating, being able to have lightning fast response speed and dramatic precision. couple that with the two top buttons on the m570 and theres no stopping the potential
i laugh everytime one of the starcraft 2 pros raises there hands in victory celebration and shows their red wrists after unneeded jerky mouse movements
keep my hatchery return (normally backspace) key as the the frontal mouse button (MB5) and im able to inject all bases in less than a couple seconds. while keeping buildings/unit (normally upgrading buildings or mutalisks) on the back mouse button (MB6) for easy access to tertiary/harass opportunities.
the trackball usage itself is fantastic, i find myself needlessly over-microing (compared to what ive seen on pro's streams) my units just because of how easy it is to accurately select unit/groups of units
i'd go more into detail but I can't really think of comparisons to a normal gaming mouse since I've only used mice for normal computer usage outside of my home and not for gaming
If you want a response from "anyone"... RSI is the factor. Got a minor case of it dual-boxing EQ1... couldn't use a normal mouse without it being noticeable for even typing. Started using two trackballs, can type for any duration now. I sure as hell am not going to let it get bad enough to need surgery. "I'd sooner shoot myself"
As a sidenote, looking at a disassembly guide of that Microsoft one; it's hard to see if there are spill-proof channels so you can't ruin your keyboard by a careless mistake. It's hard to find pictures of the underside to see. But maybe that's near standard now? Though that keyboard supposedly has a different membrane technology, so maybe it opted not to.
Side sidenote: I hate volume buttons. The G15v1(blue) had it best... the G15v2(orange) had awful buttons... the G19 is "good enough" if their manufacturing wasn't crap that day. (Sent back two and had to open up and fix the third with superglue 6mo later)
I'm pretty sure it doesn't, remember watching some chinese guy demonstrating some home made canals he put on his x4 earlier today. they could have them thoughAs a sidenote, looking at a disassembly guide of that Microsoft one; it's hard to see if there are spill-proof channels so you can't ruin your keyboard by a careless mistake. What's a "reasonable" price?
yea the LED lights are looking really promising, i usually either have to have my huge overhead lamp on or no keyboard use if I want to be efficientI have this keyboard. Works great..don't use the maco keys but the LED at night sure helps keep me from typing one letter across
