Default Re: OMG HEALERS SHOULD ONLY HEAL

Well u dont need to do #6 if u do #3 which is keep other ppl in the raid alive [/quote]

This is true, unless your working on some of the hard stuff in the game i.e. Raiding, and your the MT healer.

Look I have no problem with any and all Healer classes hitting mobs and doing what they can to make crap dead, that said, I get pissed when I have to take my attention away from my job, (keep tank alive) to heal/ rez people in other groups because thier healers care more about dps than they do, about keeping thier group alive. For this reason I don't feel the rally cry of "Healer DPS, DPS" should be called out in most tough mob situations. Sure auto attack, throw what you can when you can, but for F*** sake keep your people alive. I mean you loose a hella lot more DPS when your actual dps classes go down than you do if a healer just heals. Keep it in perspective, I kinda feel like if you wanted to play a DPS class go fricken roll one and stop pretending your a healer. My pride is gotten through keeping people alive not seeing where I am on the parse.

I don't think there's a simple answer.

It depends on the group makeup. The healer can suck, then the healer should probably just concentrate on healing. The tank can suck, then the healer has to concentrate on healing and keeping him alive. If the healer's fine and the tank's fine, and the healer has a surplus of power, I don't see why throwing in same hits and nukes would hurt.

Once again, it depends on the group makeup.
