The spell rocks in pvp...ran into a 80 necro and wizzy while I was on my temp...normally i would have been utter toast within maybe 1 min...lasted a good 4 mins even with undead tide on my ass....Im in lov with repent. Now to work out the bugs on it when I using this bright ray of hope for temps....

Why does it seem that only those playing burst dps classes use hacks/exploits for pvp?

I have seen mark do crazy things aswell with mobs that have damage sheilds. Easy easy way to top the parse.

I was gonna say the first parse that everyone was looking at wasnt' showing a ward and a heal off the same cast. IF you look at the time it was cast you can see that it can't be because it exceeds the 30 sec duration.

In my experience I average about 5 to 10 % of total heals on a raid, in a MT group with a "GOOD" Defiler and Warden in the group. Yes, it can be awesome, It spiked 4900 with a crit and a dirges' Gravitas on me the other day several times. BUt as far as being broken or overpowered I don't agree.

With a good defiler in the group I still have to work very hard to come close to his parse and in some zones on certain mobs beat his parse. Defiler still has priority with his wards and this spell doesn't change that.

I noticed that Coercive Healing doesn't affect Repent

Not that I advocate putting it on a templar over an other class in a raid but do occasionally get it for heroic instances. But was surprised when I noticed it.

Celendia, if you use Repent as most templar's do, casting it every time it is available, you are in effect adding a bit of breathing room for the Shaman's wards to become refreshed.

Wards are eaten in the order they are applied. Say your Defiler casts his single target, you cast your Repent and then the Defiler casts his Group Ward. The order they will be stripped by damage is: Defiler single target, Templar Repent, Defiler group.

I use mine a little differently depending upon the zone and mobs being fought. I will use my repent when the tank spikes or debuffs are dropping/being reapplied. Or I will use it in the spam it out as soon it is up. Like I said, depends on the zone/mob being fought for me.

I dont get it why ppl look at how effective somthign is by looking at the parse.
You are not gonna be the only healer when in raid...
So instead compare your healing when solohealing instead. THat is where you see how powerful Repent is compared to other wards.

I as a shaman have to struggle ALOT to singleheal some places. Where as a templar thanx to Repent can do it alot easier.
HOw wards / heals shows up on a parse isnt really fair....that is just mechanics imo...and doesnt show if you are a good healer or not.
Solohealing a place does.
And imo. Templars rule shamans easy today thanx to Repent..and yes I think its abit overpowered atm. Cause I dont think its ment to be that one class is gonna be able to soloheal a place, and others are struggling like hell...or need more help from other healers.
Templars have loads of healing-stuff-spells...that tick all the time. Shamans have mainly wards and 2 singletarget heals...and 1 groupheal.
Groupward takes 5 seconds to cast...single around 3 i think it was.

Shamans get no increased castingspeed at all...clerics do...and get alot aswell.
Stop saying that shamans rule...just cause Parse says so...a parse isnt everything. Live facts is...like healing alone and be able to keep up.
I envy Templars alot.

What instance do you struggle to solo heal? Honestly, is there a heroic instance in the game that can't be solo healed by any of the "healer" classes with ease? And yes I have seen it done by all the classes before you ask.

From what I have seen so far, repent is far from being over powered with as hard as mobs are hitting in RoK raid zones and is actually a welcome spell to the Templar arsenal.

Have you actually played a Templar in "end game" content? "These healing-stuff-spells" are called lotto heals.. they have a chance to proc a very small heal (im talking like a heal for 81 hitpoints small).. These spells do not save the day at all when your running through VP and the tank is getting double attacked for 12k

What is correct in your post is that the healing parse during raids is not the ruling factor like a dps parse. It is there to see who the slacker was when all hell broke loose and to work out power management, spell rotation etc.

Don't be envious of the Templar, if your a Defiler then you still rule in the healing department no matter what you think. It is just a fact.

No im not a Defiler..thankgod
And lotto-healing is better than no heals at all.
And I cant soloheal chardok..havnt tried soloheal chelsith and maidens in a long time though...I didnt have much nice gear. I am in big need of those Overloaded heals to get by if i soloheal.
So..either im a very crap healer...or somthing is wrong.

Maybe I should try to soloheal them again with some of the new gear...and maybe see if the groupsetup had anythign to do with it.
And no..I dont see myself less good than a Defiler....just diffrent....like dirge vs Troubie.
I wouldnt mind one big fat reactive..now when templar have suddenly got a ward.
