I like the spell when i used it on test, it says its a ward which i guess it is, but its essentially a big reactive. and it doesnt dispell after taking damage, if there is a hit for 1k, its a 1k heal and there is still the 2k left. it is not a quick casting spell like the normal reactive, but it is sorta our biggest heal, its always frustrated me when people are really low, needing like 3 or 4 heals to full heal them. Stuff hits for a lot in RoK so i dont think this will give us an extra advantage, i think it will be very needed.

A big reactive? Its a single target ward. . . . plain and simple

Reactive = heals for x amount after a melee hit
Ward = Prevents x damage from being done to target

That's broken as fuck, and doesn't dispel on the first hit, which is causing it to be overpowered as hell in its current implemented fashion.

I tested it a little and it only dispells if there are no wards up as in the person actually takes damage. which seems fair. cos otherwise there is no actual heal.

In my experiance in just heroic groups where im the only one healing, it isnt just a ward. When the tank was hit he was healed for the amount he was hit for, not just didnt go down anymore.

Which we can only speculate on because no one from SoE says anything as usual. For all we know the first version of the spell would stay up for the full 30 seconds and still reactively heal the amount of damage taken even though the warding amount was already reduced to zero. The flavor text which is always more accurate of their intentions makes no mention of dispelling after any hits. Only the "Effects" list does, and that's more of a programming thing than listing intentions. All spells with that Effects tag works like this. If you're mezzed and warded, something must break the ward and do actual damage before you are no longer mezzed.

PS
I feel that should mention for those who don't know... that's almost as good as the spell is going to get. The screenshot has some decent spell casting haste, +healing attached and a good amount of +ministration by the looks. Adept I was 2460 or something and the normal cast/recast is 3.0/30.0, and cost over 300 power.

It should not be getting dispelled sitting under a ward, enough of our heals are already going to waste because of that. Probably why this is a "ward" and not an actual reactive.

It is supposed to heal for the amount it wards for, so yes it isn't just a ward. It really is supposed to work like a big ward/reactive. Blocks damage then heals from that hit like a reactive.

This spell will be amazing in pvp. I wonder how much less the ward is though? I will not be surprised if some start calling for it to be nerfed. Any pvp server templars know how much the ward is decreased in pvp?

This spell is just plain broken for so many reasons, the fact that +heals effect it is just one of them. This spell would suck if it got dispelled after one hit but its very very very powerful in its current state.

You guys can call bullshit on this all you want, though during the beta test 3/5 times repent did about a 4k ward and 4k heal. Then if you add lots of +healing gear on that :/ Not to mention its a 30 second recast I mean seriously...
