Re: templars in the mage dps group
pardon the troll post.
our guild is one of those guilds that uses a templar in the mage group. not only the buffs but the group reactive and many of the other items that templars bring to the table in the survivability arena just flat blow the fury out of the water. When we do run a fury in that group we notice a net loss in dps and survivability of the group as a whole. So they stick the fury with me (Inq) in the OT group.
What does fury have?? int buff? thats already close to being capped.. agitate great for the trouby.. or the hybrid group the predator. what else? oh ya they can dps harder, and, i have seen the numbers generated by a smite specced templar.. very impressive. So while they are dpsing, a group member takes agro. hrm nothing but pure burst healing to regen him? we found the fury lacking so we switched to either mystic or templar the protective group heals help the raid healers bring single target healing to bear thus allowing for mage survival while the tank regains agro, im sorry for the furies but we have found they just dont belong in the mage group. Heck we have been without a fury for a long time.. We recently recruited one and we are having trouble finding a spot for him... When ROK goes live though the int buff will be handy to help the mages max int with the lvl 80 until gear and such then the fury will not be needed, in that group i guess...
Sorry for the trolling i will go back to reading and learning.
