Default Will not take effect ftmfl

I wanted to drop in and ask what you guys felt about the new reactive stacking bs SOE came up with. We started raiding again a few nights back and come first pull, every time I try to cast my single target reactive, I get this message that "it will not take effect". Come to realize that if the inquisitor in our raid has his reactive cast (his T8 version), mine would not be able to be cast, at all, on the same target. I know the spells never really stacked, but I think it's BS that, say another templar or inq in the raid casts their app II or adept I reactive on your target, yours will be worthless. Even more so, since the master version of my T7 reactive, coupled with the 9 triggers my set bonus gives me, make up for more healing.

What gets to me most is that, I am very much set into a routine when I heal, have a certain spell succession, and it bugs me to no end that I press the button and nothin happens. Crap, I tell you!

Have not raided yet so have not had this happen to me, but can remember when it used to happen all the time. I think back in tier 5 raids. A that time we would run with a Templar and Inquis in MT group, I used to get that message all the time. I do think that it should be set to use the higher/better spell though. I used to ask what level the others were casting then decide who would use thier reactive based on that info, then would cast my single on anyone else in group who might have a use for it. BTW good to see you Spond, hope life is spinning well for you and yours.

Nice to see ya too, SH. I heard Worker was spamming around for goodie bags recipients this year. Hope that list is coming around well for you.

Right now it would be better to stay with the t7 with 9 charges and + heal gear. later when your stuff is getting replaced and you have more power and more + healing and what not it wont matter and you will want to be using the bigger reactives to offset the larger hits better from raid mobs.

I know that's better. I wasn't really asking, I was stating how annoying it is that I can't even cast my T7 one if a crappy version of the T8 is on the tank.

Aye when there is more than one Cleric on our raids we designate who is using single target reactives. That is usually worked out between the Clerics.

So if there is a designated reactive caster....Why would the "would not take affect" message shoudn't be appearing if everybody is doing what they are supposed to be doing.

I will say that when I (Templar) and Defiler were in the same group with no other healers, not a raid - etc... We were both getting would not take effect on quite a few of our healing spells.
