Re: AA lines revisted, RoK raiding
As I said, I'm an OT templar, haven't had issues keeping tanks up with my current spec, hence why I have gone for the heal crits over shield Ally. I don't dislike shield Ally and was once specced that way, I also offered a solution if the OP wanted to keep shield ally while testing out the STR line, since interrupts seem to be the issue they are currently trying to address.
A reduction of 11.41% is very effective, but will that number be affected vs orange con Epics? To my understanding avoidance has a very large curve vs orange con(if I am misunderstanding avoidance feel free to correct me and call me a noob), given my assumption, is shield ally as viable vs level 87 mobs?

Re: AA lines revisted, RoK raiding
I had thought about going back to shield ally for RoK, would be very nice with all the massive double attacks and shit in RoK, but im the only MT healer with a Tunare Staff, so stuck with STR, INT, STA i guess bleh. Thought about taking AGI anyways just for the parry, but 6% parry isnt going to make up for a loss of Steadfast, heal crits or spell haste

Re: AA lines revisted, RoK raiding
Shield Ally, I just realized is uncontested avoidance, so probably the same chances against orange con epic. So ignore my earlier question, unless I totally misunderstand this ability and then someone more educated can enlighten me

Re: AA lines revisted, RoK raiding
Steadfast doesn't really do crap for me, I'm running with ~50% spell haste (Faster on Hostiles and slightly slower on Heals) and have noticed none to exceedingly little delay/interrupt in cast times even with Group Reactive/Heal.
The stifle immunity part still doesn't work against a single epic's stifle, and this was the only really attractive part of this line from a healing standpoint. Fun for solo'ing and dueling though, saved my ass a few times when I get adds when solo I feel.
With the way mobs are hitting there is a no contest aspect to Shield Ally if in a tank group, especially when you get into the deeper portions of VP where the mobs are level 87 and eliminate even more of your tank's contested avoidance types through that gain in level.
Can't wait for the AA swap item to make it in game. Str/Sta/Int for my Mage Group DPS spec and Agi/Sta/Int for anytime I am MT/OT slotted.

Re: AA lines revisted, RoK raiding
I wish I could put all the extra points I have in the templar tree and move them over to the cleric tree where all the good stuff is.
How cool would it be to get shield ally, stun/stiffle immune, crit heals and fast cast.

Sorry, but no, it really doesn't.
But if it did, hypothetically speaking, the mages nor the other healers ever complained about it, so I didn't notice.
I made my first couple runs through zones WITH steadfast hoping it worked.
Still got stifled a few times so I said the hell with that, going to shield ally or just Bolt of Power till I can get my AA swap items.

Re: AA lines revisted, RoK raiding
I'm going str,agi and sta right now and its working fine. With the bard and monk in raid the casting speed is fine cuz there is a cap. I used to have that nem ankh way back with that 33% and with bard and monk it didnt go any better. Even had an illy put time compression just to see and did the int end line speed cast boost and it was no different.
