I agree'd with you, just didn't post

I'd be lucky to get the heal portion to proc 20% of the time in a raid, simply because waiting for a big hit then using it is down right retarded, I just use it as another ward ontop of the shamans. Sometimes you get lucky and have it finish cast just after a decently large hit has landed then get some ward and heal procs from it, but yeah other than that, the heal proportion is crap.

On mobs that one shot the tank, do you:

A) Throw up repent on the tank every time it is up to reduce the chance at a one shot.

B) Wait for the tank to get hammered, but not killed, to throw it up, hoping that the effective 7k ward/heal prevents a follow up shot from finishing off the tank.

C) Other, explain.

Well, im sure you're confident in your abilitys, and thats great, but i personally, vote no on people who are retarded. That question ^^ is clearly retarded, the answer so obvious the fact you had to ask it makes me wonder how you can even dress yourself in the morning. As such you woudl'nt have made vote anyway, so im sure hes not butt hurt about it at all.

Repent, when to you on one-shotting mobs.

First thing I thought.

I hear life is easier if you aren't a fucking retard.

Well....thank you for makeing yourself look like a retard. Telling someone to leave the thread then quoting their exact statement is ftl.

I didnt say he was wrong, i just said GTFO.

Also Ive had the thing expire cuz the tank takes no damage in 30 seconds on some mobs.... yea its back up as soon as it expires but that is still retarded.

And regular wards, reactives, HoTs, etc expiring the same way isn't? I don't see your point here

People are dumb.

My heal didn't get used because the tank didn't take any damage, what the fuck. Thats retarded!

You're right. The heal should be consumed even though the tank takes no damage, then it won't be there when he takes it. Great thinking.

Default Re: Repent, when to use on one-shotting mobs.

I'd like to point out that I never made any claim as to which way it should be used, and that everyone else took this question seriously except the douchebags from SD who care more about a cheap shot than anything else.

So seriously, Phay, Fuck off. It was real clear what your real motives are.

Of course the obvious easy answer is "whenever it is up". But if you are content with that answer, and you will not take the time to even try to doublecheck to see if that is right, then you are a shitty healer. Up until now, I have been just casting it whenever it is up. But, the question still remains, since there is a heal element to the spell, is it possible to get more out of it by trying to make it land when the tank is not 100%?

I'm out of town and not at my usual rig, so I can check my parse, but how many times does a mob hit (and doesnt miss etc) durring the ~26 sec recast? Maybe 3 times. So repent has a chance at preventing a one-shot at best 1 out of 3 hits. It seems like (again I'm not anywhere near my parser) that the one shots typically happen with a double attack right after a hit has knocked down all the wards. I.E. miss, bock, miss, 8000, miss, 11000, 9000. If the repent was up for the 8000 hit, then it would be down for the double attack. Would it help any if the repent was up for the double attack when most or all of the other wards are down?

Now lets add two templars to the situation to mix things up. Assume the first templar is going to have his repent up "whenever it is up". So his repent was up for the 8000 hit. Being the 2nd templar, you notice that the tank drop to 90% or something. You know all the wards are down at that point, so you go ahead and cast yours. (multiple repents dont stack btw) That and the single target ward that is prolly up by now should save the tank. Better than blindly casting repent whenever it's up?
