I use the single reactive with the EoF raid set bonus (9 triggers). That tends to last through a 25 second solo fight, where as repent does not. I try not to heal during the fight while solo.

You're a fucking moron. That's a good way to help your parse, but that's not always the same thing as giving your tank the best shot at staying up. Sometimes you might want to save it for an extra 10 seconds so you can toss in when some spike damage is incoming. Toss it too early, and it could be spent when you really need that extra bump.
Let me rephrase in cretin:
u might have 2 think about when you cast shit if you want to be more than a human macro or you should think about rerolling a new class

Its ok friend, if i suddenly fell on my head and got brain damage, and asked a question of similiar stupidity in the illusionist boreds, and some templar was trolling through because he had an illy alt and wtf pawned me by posting common sense, id feel like an idiot and try and retort with something as well. Actually casting as and when it's up is the best possible chance to keep your tank alive, the reactive heal component is next to useless if your tank dies from being hit by a "big hit" after waiting for a "big hit" or whatever so you get the "fully use" from the spell.
I guess that's why Lumpy, Krono, myself, and others who more or less keep it up as a shaman style ward have cleared everything upto Trakanon
And for soloing, Repent is without doubt the most overpowered heal. Ever. I'd cast it if I drop < 50% and BAM 100% in no time. Whatever works for you though I guess, but I'd rather have the bigger heal triggers on Vital, than the smaller heal triggers on Glorious, simply because the mobs hit so much harder but slower.

Re: Repent, when to use on one-shotting mobs.
Speaking of bigger heal triggers on Vital...
Why isn't anyone else pissed about our reactives being capped really low. If I'm not mistaken, wards cap at 50% while reactives cap at about 16%. Seems rather stupid IMHO.

Re: Repent, when to use on one-shotting mobs.
How to post like a SD douchebag:
1: Misrepresent someone's post.
2: Scream 'retard'.
3: Go back and circle jerk with your buddies until they back you up.
4: Post more bullshit.
Its funny you guys were all over my nuts back when I put an app in. Wanted me over there immediately. Now I'm a fkn retard? Make up your mind. The only retarded thing I ever did was think my guild was in trouble and think about jumping ship. I'm glad I stayed. You people would cut your best friend's throat if it would make you E-Peen grow half an inch.
Krono: Welcome to the forums. It's too bad that one of your first posts just shows that you have your mouth wrapped around someone's cock. Let me ask you, If Silverwing is going to AoE in 25sec and Repent is up, do you cast it right now, or wait until right before the AoE? Get your mouth off that cock and explain that one.

IMO there is no right or wrong answer to this, here's a few scenarios:
1. You don't use it and never make it to Wingbeat, since your tank is dead, and your other tanks are otherwise engaged.
2. You use it, you get to Wingbeat, and your tank takes the typical (in my experience anyways) 20-25% HP hit, then is DA'd anyways and drops.
3. You use it, you get to Wingbeat, the tank outright resists it, you continue.
4. You don't use it, you get to Wingbeat and cast it before, Wingbeat chews all the wards from the Defiler and Repent, then gets DA'd and drops.
5. You don't use it, you get to Wingbeat and cast it after it hits, the tank's HP is promptly back to 100% through some smaller attacks and the heal proc proccing.
... the list of possibilities goes on.
