Default Repent, when to use on one-shotting mobs.

Just going to throw this out there.

On mobs that one shot the tank, do you:

A) Throw up repent on the tank every time it is up to reduce the chance at a one shot.

B) Wait for the tank to get hammered, but not killed, to throw it up, hoping that the effective 7k ward/heal prevents a follow up shot from finishing off the tank.

C) Other, explain.

Discuss...

I've been watching the debuffs on a mob, and as they start to drop or when I know their timers are going to be up I cast Repent.

If it is up and the debuffs are holding fine I cast it as needed, IE as wards are eaten and the tank starts dropping health.

Doing this had ~650 HPS as the OT Cleric for Phara Dar last night with Repent at ~20% of total heals, Supplicant's Prayer was at ~30%.

So its working rather well for me right now using it like that.

Throw repent up every time it's up, almost without exception. Don't gamble on being able to get an extra 3.5k heal out of it at the cost of not having a 3.5k ward when you would have needed it - especially not if you have a druid in group running regens. Treat Repent as a Ward, with a nice plus (the heal) which owns in soloing and grouping, and can occasionally come in handy when raiding.

How is this even a question?

Any person with any common sense at all should have read the subject and known the answer.

Repent, when to you on one-shotting mobs.
"When its up."

First thing I thought.

I hear life is easier if you aren't a fucking retard.

get the fuck out, wardern.

Use it when its up, or wait a bit till you see the wards on the MT get soaked up (usually will still be in green) then use repent, followed by your small heal. (by now shaman wards are back on)

With the cast time on it, if you wait until they get the 1 hit you wont have time to get it off.

Put it up when its up.

Yeah, there is no point in waiting, sure you arent getting full productivity out of it this way, but its pointless to try to hold it off because half the time the tanks are dying from 16k double attacks and shit anyways
